I fully agree.. they don't normally tell women which funnily enough it is not funny but it causes hair loss and hair thinning.. which has been a big problem for black female Americans more then most but apart from that; Women as a whole group to generalise, worldwide, more and more women in the last 20-30years have been going bald before thirty😂for guys it's generally because they have a broken gene that causes male pattern baldness but it is not and should not be a "natural" or "normal" thing.. but she's literally giving out meds which is illegal first of all but secondly I one Hundred percent know she isn't telling those kids and women she is telling to be a hoe and giving drugs too(under legal classification it is a drug at the point the "medication" is not distributed by a healthcare or medical professional or qualified and paid employee 👍).. I hope she gets time in prison for that and especially because of all the issues she is intentionally causing young women or children by giving them illegally distributed medications health issues.. so like yeah, I don't know who Olivia is and don't want to know.. I know she's acting illegally and being a really bad influence.. fire up the woodchipper man..👍😂😂 Edited to add: Alopecia is the medical term and that the "plan B" or "baby kill pill" as I call it is the top side effect and you cannot sue for common side effects of medications.. hmm, rather curious if you ask me..🤔 And that drug may not make you bald lady, but guaranteed that every kid you ever have after taking one of those pills will be bald before thirty and may not live to fifty or sixty years, and that is on you..warnings out there..

As an Olivia Rodrigo fan, I partially agree with what you said. I definitely think handing out pills like that to anyone is utterly wrong and foolish. But i do think if she had a properly organized setup where the people interested in taking the plan B had to go through some sort of formal procedure and get approved by certified professionals from the organization she was partnering with beforehand, then it wouldn't have been as bad. There's some other comments that i came across though saying that kids should just not be having sex at this age, and I'm completely for it, being a teenager myself. But again you do have to understand that every single thing on the internet has been made overtly sexual( which admittently Olivia also participates in but some other artists like Doja and Cardi B are prime examples really) and unfortunately there's really nothing being done to stop it. Everything from the clothing brands to music have been sexualised. The it girl aesthetic has become sexualised. Repeatedly getting exposed to things like creates a conducive environment. Like I said I'm personally against all this until a person feels mature enough for it but you're forgetting that teenagers are pretty stupid and tempted easily and we don't really understand the consequences of it until much later. What i'm basically trying to say is that it isn't as easy just telling teenagers to not have sex because those who want to will still do it no matter what. Olivia although should have definitely led with the narrative of preventive sex rather than handing out dangerous substances completely unauthorized. edit; by fan i meant that i just occasionally listen to her music im more or less unaware about anything else shes done
@aeblink13329 ай бұрын
this>>> handing out pills like that is so so dangerous regardless of the intent. and you’re 100% right. teenagers don’t exactly have the best track record for not doing something just they’re told not to. the best thing to do is educate them on how to be safe, give them confidence to say no if they don’t want to and protect them as best as we can. i myself am still a teenager (i turn 20 in september) and im genuinely worried how the next generation is gonna turn out

What's worse, an abortion or a child being forced to live an unwanted life? Because I can speak from experience when I say no child should ever be forced to live a life feeling unloved, unwanted, and like a burden their entire life. It's cruel to the child and they grow up with a whole lot of mental problems they don't deserve. Or even worse, victims of SA. That's not only cruel to the child but its cruel to the mother to make her confront her assailant and relive her trauma every time she looks at her child. Having a child isn't some little mistake like forgetting to put gas in your tank before work. It's a life altering occurrence that shouldn't be forced on someone if they don't feel like they can handle it.

Once you actually educate yourself & have a mind of your own to think, it’s a whole different ball game. I have one daughter, with another child on the way (at possibly the worst time). Regardless - I could not IMAGINE, EVER, getting an abortion & killing my child. It breaks my heart. So to see an “idol” to so many young KIDS & women spreading this kind of ideology makes me sick - because I probably would’ve fallen for it if I was their age.

I'm similar to you, I support abortions but not always. Sometimes you will need to step up as a parent and take responsibility for your actions however if you generally can't afford children and the child will grow up in horrible circumstances, I get why an abortion is preferred. Also if sex was not your choice and you were a victim to someone taking advantage of you or a situation like that and you happened to get pregnant, it's fair enough to not want the baby, especially if you're a young girl. If you chose to have sex responsibly and still got pregnant and are in the right state of mind and circumstances, I think you should raise the baby still though. Or you can put it up for adoption but that's generally not the best choice either, considering how hard it is for couple to even be allowed to adopt and how tough it can be for the child. Hope you and your family are alright and well done for raising your daughter so far ❤

Hi Brett! Firstly, I am sorry if this turns into an essay but I have a few things to say. Now I really like your channel and all the work that you do, especially when it comes to raising important topics such as male mental health etc. However, this time around we might think a little too closed minded. Now I absolutely do NOT support handing out plan B pills at a concert, that's just a big no-no. However I do think that the stance on abortion overall would benefit from being "pro quality" rather than pro-life or pro-choice. There are, as with any medical procedure, ofc risks with abortions and they should be regulated and not be taken lightly. I (f34), am steril but I have many close friends that have a) done an abortion because they were not in the state of mind to raise a child. The reason for the pregnancy was failing contraception (which is another topic all on its own). The same couple now has a family with 2 kids. b) medical reason, where the kid would have had massive cognitive impairment. By the doctors estimation the individual would have required around the clock care, be prone to hurting themself and also a short life with a lot of pain. (Terminating the pregnancy was the hardest thing they have had to do).That couple now have a healthy baby girl. And now for the last one, which is horrendous but also, thankfully, rare c) being raped. The topic of abortion sparks a lot of debate, which is healthy, however, I just think it's very complex and it's not all black or white. Also, just for clarification, I am Swedish (living in Sweden) so I speak from my experience. Thank you for the great content! ❤

The whole abortion thing is just ridiculous, honestly think she just picked this thinking everyone would applaud her for being such a hero, a girls girl a feminist. She’s relatively young so she probably doesn’t know the ugly dark truth about abortion, she just probably sees it as “men are trying to tell us what to do with our bodies, let’s protest” and doesn’t actually see that abortion is killing innocent babies. Now, she’s 21 so I’m not going to say “let’s cut her some slack” she’s relatively young but at the end of the day she is still an adult, she should have known better and get more informed before talking about something so sensitive. Now the whole “parents are so mad cuz she’s acting so sexual on stage” she’s 21 she’s no longer a kid, yes I know she was once a disney star but that doesn’t mean she has to have that title for the rest of her life, she doesn’t owe anyone anything. If parents are so pissed that a 21 year old is acting like that, that’s on them. Abortion is a huge issue- women in states with abortion bans are 3x likely to die from pregancy, childbirth or straight after childbirth than those in state without.

Exactly, there's a lot of brands for plan b BUT its too risky too just mindlessly give it away to young girls who for sure doesn't have an access to obgyn. Yeah, maybe some kind of collectible (like TSwift's light up bracelets) that has a QR code to a website with Plan B and birth control information/education might've been better. TW - Hey Brett, Thank you for your take on this topic. I've been following you for a while and I like/agree with a lot of your content and I think it's great as I learn about new topics/ideas/takes whenever I watch one of your videos. However, for the take behind this video I would say I have a 'pro-choice' ideology. Now I have to agree with you that I do think Olivia went about this whole thing COMPLETELY wrong by almost 'encouraging' it to her audience compiled with the actions she was doing on stage TO LITERAL KIDS and I definitely disagree with the violence used by 'pro-choice' activist as I do not believe violence should not be a way to protest.. as you mentioned at 7:56, it is morally wrong. Plus handing this type of medication to her audience could lead to a LOT of bad things as they are DRUGS. Outrageous. People have the right to their own opinion. I wanted to talk from the other side of 'pro-choicers' - I will be referencing rules from the UK. Although abortion is very dangerous I believe it is your body, and it should be your choice - however I do think it should be a last option. Safe sex education, contraceptives and all these other things that prevent pregnancy should be encouraged at a safe manor to a reasonable audience in the first place. Especially to the younger audience it is key to not introduce abortion first and to instead treat it as a last resort, but still being a choice. In the UK all women requesting an abortion can discuss their options with, and receive support from, a trained pregnancy counsellor if they wish as it is only done preferably less than 10 weeks after a pregnancy, with a maximum of 24 weeks (as the time increases it is a lot more dangerous and the morals around it do differ). In our education systems, the risks and outcomes of procedures like this are made very clear, this is the way it should be presented - not as a "oh you can just do this easily" it is not easy. At all. In a pregnancy the embryonic stage lasts from about the third week of pregnancy until the eighth week of pregnancy. Which is when abortion is easiest. Even though it will never be easy as the mother will face major difficulties. Actions should have consequences however these actions should be prevented and funded for proper sex ED contraceptive use, ED on STD's etc. Although the agreement on abortion can "depend on the situation" these are the reasons why I still believe they should be a choice. By referring to your word choice "killing a baby" suggests murder. I disagree and I would like to explain why, this is not to change your mind but to serve a different take. In quite a lot of cases, women that have applied for abortion HAVE already used a contraceptive, they HAVE tried to limit the path however contraceptives still have fault and need to be worked on so I wouldn't label all people that want to have the choice to use abortion as 'reckless' and 'irresponsible' as some may say. Most of the time abortions are due to the parent(s) having no support, low income, and most devastatingly *sexual violence*. This suggests if women were economically better off, had better access to affordable child-care and other forms of support, and had ready access to more reliable forms of contraception, there would likely be fewer abortions which is a problem with our society. In cases of sexual violence I believe it is morally wrong not to allow victims to remove the embryo of the disgusting act of the criminal. On top of that bringing a baby into a world where as the responsible parent you aren't able to provide and care for the baby is morally wrong. So if you agree that abortions need to be banned YOU need to make sure you are a stable, good person and can actually be a parent - however I do understand that this is the world we live in and a lot of people are not educated properly WHICH IS THE PROBLEM - education on sex should be funded this could've been a WAY better investment for Olivia... Finally, women and girls can be killed if abortion is not optional. What is the point of killing another LIVE AND BREATHING life trying to stop 1 being terminated before this happens. If abortions is made legal, it can be regulated, and it won't be done "behind the scenes" instead with real professionals instead of leaving many women facing serious health risks as they may have to turn to more dangerous options. Honestly I could go on and on with more research (as I also don't know everything around this topic) , but I will stop here. Abortion should be a choice, even if it's the last one. So let's not try to ban abortion. Let's work together and try to reduce it. Thank you so much for reading and I hope I gave you another perspective.. have a nice day people.

As a huge Olivia Rodrigo fan I do agree that this was a bit of a stretch. I don’t really have that strong of an opinion on wither or not abortion is a good thing or a bad thing (and I plan to keep it that way). I understand that’s she’s trying to fight for something that she believes in, and I respect that but giving out medication like that is just plain weird to me? From the articles I’ve read, it wasn’t her idea to give these things out to people, it was the foundation she is working with. Luckily they have stopped because there are children present and really an Olivia Rodrigo concert is not where they should be learning this stuff. In terms of the stuff that she does on stage, I think parents should’ve been more aware about how she was going to go about performing this album. From listening to the songs you can tell that she’s trying to break away from that innocent child star persona and into something more grown up. Does grown up music always have to be provocative? No! But that is the path she chose so I don’t think it’s fair to blame her for doing “less appropriate” things on stage. Like, other artists have a bunch of fans who are children and they still do whatever they want. I just feel like there’s just been a lot of unnecessary hate on Olivia.

"The hardship that is keeping women from killing their unborn children. That is forcing people to take responsibility for their actions and the consequences of those actions must be awful." - 3:49 Now, I don't support abortion *AT ALL* , but as someone who experienced sexual violence as a child (I did not get pregnant, thank God.. I was too young and my ab*ser never got the chance to actually r@pe me), it is not my fault in any way that that happened. It is *NOT* the responsibility of *ANY* woman who has been forcefully impregnated... their actions weren't even under their control!!!! Many of these women are drugged when they are assaulted, so they couldn't even fight back. So Brett saying that they need to "take responsibility for their actions" is not valid in this scenario, and yes, "the consequences of those actions" *ARE* "awful"... the trauma does not leave you even after 3+ years... now imagine having to see the face of your ab*ser every day in your child. The child is innocent, but the pain is still very much there for the mother.
