Olivia, I am loving your posts! I have walked the Camino Frances 3 times, but have NEVER done the lengths you are doing. You are very impressive. I do my Caminos in the summer (July and August) and don't dare keep walking in the late afternoon due to the heat. I will have to try in the Spring or Fall at some point. I also love how you are eating the amazing food that Spain has to offer. So many pilgrims only get sandwiches and then complain about the food. Buen Camino!!

Thank you so much! 😊 Walking the Camino three times is an incredible achievement! Walking those long distances in the summer must indeed be quite a challenge. Spring and fall definitely sound better for longer distance walks. Wishing you many more wonderful journeys on the Camino! 🌄

Hi Olive, I have done that section three times and stayed in the same Albergue as you, and I am impressed by your distance and your time to complete, because that is tough with the two hills to climb on a 30 km walk and finishing up hill to the Albergue, well done, plus the downhill section of the first hill, can be quite treacherous with all of the rocks, many people damage their ankles there. The only problem I had with the Albergue was the clock bell in the church opposite ringing all the way through the night on the quarter, ear plugs highly recommended 😂 The people who ran it were lovely and the food was good too.

Thank you so much! 😊 I also found the downhill quite difficult for my knees, more challenging than the uphill. And yes, I remember that church bell! 😂 I think it stopped around 11 or midnight and started again early in the morning. Definitely not what tired pilgrims need! 😅

I've yet to do any Camino, never mind the French route; but the Alto del Perdon for me makes that particular route. I just love the monument there. It connects you with previous pilgrims (whether last year, the year before, or centuries ago) and those yet to come. Timelessness such as that is special.

Very nice videos, I'm also thinking about walking the Camino Frances. In the last few years I've walked four Caminos to Santiago and I've always said that I don't find the Camino Frances that interesting because there are so many people. I'm looking forward to your further videos. Greetings from Germany and Buen Camino Sascha

Thank you! 😊 It's amazing that you've walked four Caminos! While I haven't walked the others, I chose the Camino Frances first because it felt more traditional to me, in a sense. If you consider doing it in October, there will be fewer people around. 😁

hey Olive, another beautiful video, as you advance through the North-Eastern part of Spain... I did not pass Alto del Perdon, but from Puenta La Reina (such a jewel of a small town) its all familiar to me... the albergue in Cirauqui looks amazing... I'll keep that one in mind... you sound really more confident and assured now, as you proved to yourself again, that you can do it... I wonder what your own inner reflections at the time might have been... e.g. about pilgrimage as a search for a deeper meaning in life... it certainly is a different style of life, and that by itself is a profound message to take in... well, it is still early days, and you just get your feet down in it... I remember even giving up after a week or so, thinking much about arriving in Santiago (or what comes after that) - it just felt too far away to even worry about, which was a wonderful opportunity to just soak in the experience itself... being on the road becoming the destination and destiny... 💖

Thank you! 😊 I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. It's true, the Camino has a way of offering unexpected insights. 😊 It has been, indeed, a journey of self-discovery, though not in the way I initially expected. Reflecting on the journey, while I anticipated deep reflections, the clarity I gained was surprisingly simple. Sometimes, the road itself is the destination, isn't it? It was less about finding answers and more about embracing the beauty of the road itself. 😊

Thank you! 😊 I use Adobe Premiere Pro and my camera is Sony a7III + Tamron 17-28mm. A GoPro would have been really useful on this trip! I will definitely get one for my next one! 😊 I, instead, had to use the phone at times 😄

Thank you for your prompt reply. Did you wait to edit-it at home or did you do it on the Camino. Also have a look at the Osmo pocked 2 it takes great 4k pictures and has a built in gimbal thanks again fir your prompt reply ❤

Initially, the plan was to edit on the road, but I soon realised it was impossible at that pace, so I ended up postponing the editing until after the Camino. I appreciate your suggestion about the Osmo Pocket 2! I will definitely check it out. 😊
