hey olivia, not sure if you like this idea but this is what i do -- instead of your spices being at the bottom, move it to the first drawer as thats the drawer youre going to be using the most while cooking, such an easy reach. Put the cutting boards at the bottom since its heavier and you prob wont be using it all the time unless youre cutting something. Then the utensils i would just put in the middle drawer. OR, first drawer spices, second drawer your sauces (if its fits height wise), then last drawer can be utensils, and cutting boards can be nicely stored uptop. Again that is just what i prefer while cooking, i just open the drawer beside the stove and just cook away :)

My mom has a giant 'spring' cleaning list that she works on for months in the house. She spreads the tasks out over time so it's way less overwhelming! Decluttering, but also doing the niche cleaning tasks that come with owning a house (washing curtains, rotating mattresses, etc). Maybe you can start something like this so it's less overwhelming! xx

You are right about needing something in the appliance cupboard to get rid of dead space. Why not install some pull out shelves in there? Judging by your space, you could have two at least in there (even if one was just on the bottom) and it would make it so much easier to take things out- especially things that get shoved to the back.
