osimhen wants 400k a week, and his agent wants 20m for himself. Gyokeres has already agreed to joining barca in the summer that's why no big clubs have been making moves for him and hardly any rumours. This story came out in November that he had agree to go there. 60m is steep for Watkins at his age, but we will have to over pay now for a striker so if he is a 45m-50m player we just have to eat the extra we desperate. he is ready to go now though and should settle quick. Its not the worst signing.

For a striker that doesn't take penalties, he does score a respective amount of goals. Here's are his G/A stats in the last 5yrs: 20/21 - 14 goals, 9 assists 21/22 - 11 and 3 22/23 - 15 and 8 23/24 - 19 and 18 Current - 10 and 5 That's an average of 13.8 goals (lets just say 14) and 8.6 assists (lets just round to 9). There are still 15 games left in the season so he'll add to his current tally of 10 and 5. It'll be tough to get him and we rely on Aston Villa keeping Duran, but it's not impossible. Watkins would make an instant impact on our team which is what we need. Being 29 doesn't matter because we need experience up top. The fact Arsenal are willing to pay this much for someone at this age, shows they like the player, but will also be willing to spend big on Sesko too in the summer to satsfy the longevity plans. Forget the hype trains of Gyokeres or Osimhen. Watkins is already well-seasoned in the EPL

I'm not 100% convinced about Ollie in the long term, but for a "now" player I'm happy for this to go through. He'll get goals and assists so as long as we get 3 or 4 years of service, by today's standards, it's not an excessive fee at around 70 mil UK£. He's in his physical peak, he's Premier League hardened at the top of the league, and he's had a rest period or two at Villa this season as the new guy has been bedded in. He'd probably see it as an opportunity to enhance his place in the England squad leading up to the North American World Cup, too.

Arsenal knew the bid would be immediately rejected: - Arsenal know Saudi want Villa's other striker Jhon Durán and there's no way villa would sell both their strikers - Arsenal know Villa would be less inclined to sell to a rival next to them at the top of the table. - Arsenal know Villa would immediately reject a bid hours before their CL game. - Arsenal know they would mess with Watkin's head because we're his boyhood club. The reasons?
