He kept the rapt attention of his audience in the hall, and the rapt attention of those who criticize him so profusely here, and made his point clearly to everyone in the room. It was a very successful bit of rhetoric.

yeah he has a posh voice and comes from privilege but he has gone up in my estimation that was very intelligent but done with humour and being crude. there are many levels of giving an intelligent talk just because this was not done in a formal manner does not make it less relevant then other oxford lectures. oxford allowing this shows the sophistication and oxford should be commended their is intelligence in a diverse lectures.

Can the negativity on this page please stop, there is simply no need for this hate towards Olli Locke; he presented his argument in a humorous and memorable way. Yes, he did take quite a long time to reach the point but it was all a part of managing the crowd successfully and keeping them intrigued. Him stripping was rather explicit and could be seen as unprofessional compared to Malcolm X but times have passed and being different to the mainstream image hat society presents is a brave and memorable thing to do. And also, those of you saying that he has fat, we all do, but he was incredibly brave to accept his body image and even show it for the world to see that he doesn't fit with society's image and can oppose it.

I found this enjoyable and refreshingly fun. Even more amusing are the high-nosed snobs who are criticizing Oxford and this man after they themselves clicked a video thumbnail featuring an attractive man in his underwear with the full expectation of watching said man in his underwear. You all clearly embody the "poor taste" you accuse Oxford of having.

From having Malcolm X address the union to this nonsense? Is this just genuflection to celeb culture a cynical attempt to appeal to the youth, or is it a sign of where the Oxford Union thinks it needs to be to remain "relevant"?
