So for a change of pace and platform and genre altogether here's a small medley of the boot and intro themes from Ultima VI. While the boot them is iconic of that era of PC gaming, I felt it was a bit too short and repetitive to warrant a full cover. However, combined with the Intro theme it blends seamlessly into a cool little medley. This was fun for sure and, the "wind" sound was a last addition . There's a button on most accordion that release the air from the bellow when you want to close the instrument. If you do it at the right speed it sounds similar to wild outdoor wind whistling. Layer in 3 takes together gave it a more natural feel too. Cool trick to re-use at some point

Been an Ultima fan since the early 80s, and this is the first time I have ever seen a beautifully done recreation, that holds the embodiment of the Ultima series. Very well done!!

It's so nice to hear *any* DOS game music get a cover. Coming from a family with an engineer dad and parents who did *not* buy consoles, these are what I remember.

Holy gods. This is fantastic. Always loved this song. Like you, spent hours of summers playing it when it came out, and this theme has stuck with me over the decades, and I still catching myself humming or whistling it. This is, by far the greatest incarnation of this song, ever.

Really, really good stuff. The layered sound of the banjo, bouzouki and (I'm guessing) bass uke with the drone from the accordion work together brilliantly to bring out the low fantasy feel of Britannia, and the extra effects from the bellows and drum skin enrich the soundscape still further. I totally agree about the value of merging the boot-up and intro sequences-that's what I did with the Roland MT-32 recordings I had in my music collection. I just put them back to back, though, whereas using the intro as a bridge does add more variation to what you rightly say is a slightly repetitive (if still wonderful) boot theme. As a dedicated Ultima Dragon I appreciate the brilliant take on the best tune from the series, but I also enjoy folk music-and video game music-more generally and now I've subbed, look forward to hearing more of your work.

Ultima VII is also a classic (aside from Iolo's constant demands to be fed 😉) but Ultima VI's turn-based combat, clever plot twist and underlying themes made it the better game and arguably pinnacle of the series for me.
