I see you have the 12:0 tiles tagged. I am guessing you plan on releasing a guide on that? I have seen joebie's and mutts but in practice I can't figure it out... my biggest struggle seems to be knowing how to get in cycle depending on certain cases as well as WHEN to click from the edge. You click the tick before he turns his said but it is easier said than done. They all say its easier to learn with 4-tick but I imagine I can get the hang of it without doing that... there just seems to be something missing and you seem to touch on those sorts of points and not skip the not-so-obvious habits that skilled players brush over or forget. Would love to see a guide on that from your perspective and clear instructive approach!
@VideoGameBot9 ай бұрын
When you say use a 4 tick weapon, I'm assuming your started learning to solo with a shadow? I highly recommend learning 3:0 with a 4 tick (or even 2:0 with a shadow) before jumping straight into 12:0. I have a guide for 3:0. It goes into full detail about how to click/when to click. To sum it up very quickly: If olm turns on tick 3. You click on tick 2. And your avatar will begin running on tick 3. That syncs you + olm up on the same tick (by clicking 1 tick early). As for 12:0. I was not planning to make a guide for it right now. It's a very complex method. Lots of memorization, fancy footwork, and even attack style swaps mid-cycle. That doesnt mean i wont make a 12:0 guide later. But it's not on my plate yet.

So if we splash on the right side (far right where he turns to check it) then it's a chance of resetting him back to checking center which means go left to force the reset because if you just go back right he will automatically get an attack in and ruin the rhythm?

@@VideoGameBot Alright sweet i was wondering why half the time i would be on the right timing but he would look mid instead of left, Now i know it's because of a splash on the far right
@JustHereForTheDialogue7 ай бұрын
@@dizoce9069ye and if he turns left instead of center you just double back. Basically always click left on a splash and then look to see where he turns. If mid go far left, if left then double back to “close right” or rather “middle right.” Mage thrall can make it so you basically never have to worry about since we don’t need to worry about flame walls as we should be getting hit by them with his method I’d argue they are worth bringing. Makes it more relaxing IMO

what causes him to protect his left hand? and how do i make him stop? im complete noob never done this content, phase 2 he's just protecting hand and only way i can get him to stop is by tanking a hit
@VideoGameBot7 ай бұрын
Phase 1 and 2 you gotta start by killing mage hand first. Phase 3 you can engage either hand to start, but they both have to die at the same time
@schaboi7 ай бұрын
@@VideoGameBot thanks. I left mage hand on 1hp and didn’t notice. What methods do you recommend for normal solos? I’m assuming you don’t do 1:0 melee in normal solos because of dps right? Is final head phase the same or nah
@VideoGameBot7 ай бұрын
@schaboi I've done over 1000 solos (regular + cm combined) and at this point my regular runs consist of 3:0 mage, 3:1 melee (scythe), and 4:1 range head (tbow). I have guides for each of these methods. Maybe they can help :)

I don’t understand. The moment i got into olm it start hitting me. How do olm don’t even hit you when you enter?
@VideoGameBot9 ай бұрын
Depends on the side olm spawns on. If you stand in your melee hand engage tile and he spawns on the same side as you: click his mage hand on first available tick and you will be automatically in cycle. If he spawns on the wrong side, spam click his mage hand, and then run immediately to the far side (his melee hand). You will take 1 basic attack from olm in the process. 50/50 chance on which side he spawns on

Dude I think your tip about looking at his mage hand to start each phase is a game changer for me. I had a clanmate basically demo for me live a 1:0 for mage, melee, and head. Then I used your 3:0 mage to build off of that (my runs basically turned into what this guide was). I've been getting consistently better but still struggled with the timing of the new phases and sometimes I really struggled getting into the rhythm initially, even after getting a couple deathless KC. I watched this and my first run using his mage hand for the timing, I got the perfect olm combat achievement and set a new PB time since I wasn't fucking around at the start of each phase trying not to die lol. Going to get super comfortable with this 3:0, 1:0, 1:0, then work at adding 4:1 melee hand. Thanks for the videos!

How does the DPS of doing 1-0 with lance compare to doing it with Maul/Scythe? I’m not sure how to dps calc it correctly
@brosephbroheim64286 ай бұрын
You're hitting half as frequently, 1 hit per 8 ticks. So half of sheet dps. Pretty sure lance is better than scythe by a little bit without a dwh hit but scythe is significantly better with 1 hit. With Scythe you hit 5/8 as often, so you lose 37.5% of the sheet dps. Maul would lose 25% of sheet dps. I assume it's better to use this than lance if you're doing 1:0 especially now that it specs for 35% def reduction.

Sucks that I absolutely get slapped with every possible crystal falling down with bowfa 1:0. Rest is piss easy but the simplest thing i've been unable to get down for 75 raids? lol. And I swear to god getting slapped with every crystal eating like 8 brews just for crystals whilist i dont use that much of food for entire two raids until that part lmao. cba im shit and solos is x in never purple anyways :/
@VideoGameBot5 ай бұрын
@IstealYoGrilRS crystals fall on a 4 tick cycle, which means if you're attacking olm on the same tick that a crystal touches the ground, you are most likely getting hit every 4 ticks, unless you intentionally fall out of that 4 tick cycle (lag 1 tick for a single hit) Tbow on the other hand is a 5 tick weapon, so even if you get hit by a crystal occasionally, you naturally fall out of rhythm with them
