Sounds good.. I'm looking at a tour from north to south and back of the Philippines on the Himmy. Hopefully now I've recovered from surgery on my shoulder it can happen. Just one thing to any subscribers.. when you have a loss of shoulder power from surgery.. buy a bicycle and work hard on it to get your left or right sided dominance neutralized.. it helped me a lot. Keep her on 2 wheels 👶

My next bike, in Ventura Blue. If RE had it in British Racing Green with a quilted medium brown leather seat, then that would be perfection. But I guess it goes back to what you were saying, the Int650 is a build platform like Harley Davidson.

I like the blue, but the red was in the shop. The RE Int 650 rides so well. Smooth all the way up. A forgiving bike. Your 1st impression right on. Every time I ride this bike, I fall in love all over again. It is a great all around er.

It’s not only a thing with royal Enfield, but it’s a thing with a lot of sport bikes to prohibit you from breaking traction on the rear tire. Can get you in a lot of trouble in a turn it’s a safety feature

Great video! But something that I would like to add is how BAD the buttons are! The turn signals require a bit of finesse to reset, which becomes harder on winter months with heavy gloves and cold fingers. The starter button is super mushy and doesn't give good feedback, and that's the repeating theme across the limited functionality. I ride a lot in the city, and use the indicators a ton, and they feel consistently bad. I find myself having to check the dashboard constantly to see if the blinkers are still on, and sometimes I ride a couple of blocks with the blinkers on because they didn't reset correctly. I checked with the dealership and other interceptors, and they all work the same bad way. Aside from that... what a wonderful bike. Love the torque curve, and how easy it handles adding a passenger and a bit of luggage. It just doesn't care about the added weight, and you pretty much never have to go over 5-6k rpm

With several parallel twins in the stable.... I tell others... it's the 650 all other manufactures over the years wanted to make. I can't compare the RE 650 against the current batch offered by others, IE: W800...etc. because I #1, never rode them, #2.. they don't interest me enough to open my wallet for the added ..preceived .... performance. I bought the RE knowing what it offered ... old school look, modern engerineering and value. But I've noted that the cost for a RE is creeping up and approaching its competition in price... this could give pause to buyers.... who think they'll get a bigger bang for their buck with " bigger " only to discover " bigger " isn't always... better. :)

One thing that I noticed right away when I rode the Interceptor 650, then sat on the Meteor, was that the clutch and front brake levers were stouter on the Meteor. Go figure? The ones on the INT were, in my opinion, too flimsy.

INT! 🤪 first guy that reliably cuts down the mouthful that is enfield bikes, luv it! 🤪 OK so I put it to you could the INT be the bike the that the British would have built if they hadn't sold out to the indies, I mean is there enough in the DNA in the INT to ID the bikes heritage? 🤔 My himalala also has that sponge Bob bake brake, although I swiped out the pads and it was an improvement but not really a cure,,,,, so took a closer look at pedel and the linkage, and I found by ungrading the bushing, and the cam/arm angle ,, its all about the force transfer , but hey I'm not techco nut I just fix things, However the W800 has cubes on it side,,,,,, annnnnnnnd the same (in principle) cam drive as the super marine spitfire,,,,,, haha 😂 That gotta be worth something down the bar,,, at least.

2 completely different bikes. The 650 British Standard vs the 350 American Cruiser. Both are equally awesome. Yet both have qualities that differ greatly. If I could afford it, I would definitely buy a INT

Could the rear brake softness be intentionally done by RE due to the riding conditions in the home market, especially if you are a new rider as a sharp rear brake could cause problems on bad, dusty and gravely roads, of which there is a lot in India, just a thought

Why I bought new and not a demo.. yaaaa bay-bee! 😆😲 My first ride I got across town and was dead in the water. Better there than 50 miles in the middle of nowhere. I called RSA and someone half a continent away arranged a tow. Within the hour I was winched up onto a mamoth flatbed and was being paraded across town. Turned out to be a bad battery. Another time I pushed my luck and ran out of gas. Gotta love roadside assistance!

@@OlManRonin whyzwhat? Owners do, demo's don't. Referring to RE's break-in proceedure.. redline the hell out of a new demo (x dozens) to see what it can do, then place your order for a nice new one in the color of your choice! 😁

@@sscbkr48 reason demos are better buys is because if stuff is going to go wrong, they will during numerous people riding at differing styles. They are still under full warranty and if an issue arises while riding it then they will be easily resolved. But you do you John.

Sponginess in the brakes must be an Indian preference. Another channel swapped out the front master cylinder and said it made all the difference in the world. I’m sure you could do the same thing with the rear.
