Mike is ten toes at every moment and his sense of when to sprinkle in real shit with the sarcasm is unparalleled. I gotta say Iain inspired me, and i check his insta to stay inspired and that is he was a beast, but he's leaning out and looking good and just seems healthier and happier. I never got to be close to his size or caliber, but i was pushing it about a month ago, and thinking i may compete one last time, got to above 262ish and didn't feel great and was looking at myself more critically (and also realizing i am just a brutally average regional amateur competitor) and I decided im gunna just workout more for fun, stop pushing, not think about "doing one last show" and i've felt great, ive dropped now to under 250 i'm feeling way better, I feel I look better, and now i've changed my goal to just keep going and get down to prolly 230 or so, i've realized i'll be happier and look better and just have a different lens on life doing it that way. So Iain will prolly never read this, but him stopping when he did and readusting literally got be to rethink everything and follow in his footsteps... kind of... I dont wanna be no track star or anything or run a sub 11 second 100 meter dash (although actually i probably would love to do that, but that shits impossible and id blow a hamstring the first day trying.... breaking a 14second 100 meter may be more realistic for me

The conversation about Samson getting a better look because he stood next to Ramy last year.. it definitely helped. He got put in the first top 6 callout right out of the gate. That being said i dont think the outcome would have changed. He might have been put in the 2nd callout initally, and made his way to the top 6 after a few rounds. So it definitely helps, but i dont think an athlete will get grossly overlooked based on who they come out with and first impressions

Nathan will definitely go down as a top tier bodybuilder. In 2017 and 2018 he placed 7th and 8th in the Olympia, both were Stellar lineups. Of the guys that placed above him Phil Heath, Shawn Rhoden, Big Ramy, Dexter Jackson, Brandon Curry (in 2018, Nathan beat Brandon in 2017) all won Mr Olympia, the other two guys to beat him were Bonac and Roelly who have both been top 3.

I still can’t get past his shoulders, they just look so off, actually ugly. But suspect he will be 2nd due to condition with Derek first - having seen recent videos (better than posed stills in various lighting conditions imho) where Derek looks massively muscular and striated… already. I’d expect Nick Walker to be 3rd again with what looks to be superb condition in the last stages. Samson could shift all that but I just doubt he’ll be defined enough to beat out the former?

Basketball commentary was completely off base. Injuries are not correlated with physical play, it’s with more movement, which is higher now than when the game was more physical and focused on post play. The vast majority of players want to play more, almost all of the load management is dictated by teams because they have reason to believe it keeps players healthier. The incentives are for them to protect the asset, as Fouad said regarding football. The responsibility of the league is to fix that incentive so that their product is better (ie making players play more).

He might enjoy it.😊

When discussing the Olympia...the top 6 is wide open. Each competitor has something over the other. It's truly incredible when you really think about it. The only thing nobody has really mentioned that with Derek, last year was his first year without a weight cap. So all of his added size, fullness etc came because he didn't have to suck down and due to everyone having flaws, his were his front to back density. But....now he's had one full year with no weight cap, now all that added size, thickness, density etc has time to stick, has time to be secured on his frame. Even though I still think he'll be a little shallow and not as dense as some of the others. I think he will certainly have a dramatic improvement.
