I’ve heard this called “Princess Syndrome”, and it’s a good title for it from what I see. We see it with some Swifties as well… people that can only see themselves(or those they see themselves in) as a “hero” or a “victim”. She truly believes that she is “good”, because she decided to change the standard to be what she wants it to be(one that favors her), instead of adhering to the existing standard. But then if you don’t like it, “you must be a misogynist!” (This then fuels the social movements to further support her) This mentality is scary and it comes from having an abundance of privileged opportunity, but with no accountability or expectations. We can’t sit a tell young girls that they can “do or be anything they want”, but at the same time, have no expectations for how they then participate. (In fact, this is called “prejudice of lowered expectations”) She has subsided in extreme delusion, and then only surrounds herself with those whom will validate her delusions(it’s mind blowing how many will)… and then they all protect her from ever having to face reality. It’s really pretty scary actually, even for her sake! Especially when people like this gain a place of “power”, and then gatekeep opportunity with and for their own delusions…

I agree with you. And *TLDR*, I think she's been constructing a fictional world inside her head, so that she can continue to benefit from breaking. IMO it's a kind of self-entitlement, coming from/with her theoretical academic studies (She has a PhD in "Cultural Studies" (not breaking). I think as part of those studies, she's convinced herself that dancing (and in this case, breaking) can be what you want it to be. She wanted to be cool...and she wanted a cushy job at a university, so she found an angle - become a b-girl, and write a thesis that talks about victimhood (the title of the thesis was "Deterritorializing Gender in Sydney's Breakdancing Scene: a B-girl's Experience of B-boying"). Meanwhile you can break however you want...right?! Well, not if you want to win competitions, no, you can't. But she's been drinking her own Kool Aid, and/or pretending the high difficulty moves aren't _that_ important....so that she can continue to narcissistically compete and travel 🤷♂

@@thecraft0490 I don't need to know it all to have an opinion. ' On beat and listening to the song' no problem but not all I would hope for. I already watched it several times and still find sliding slowly around the floor nearly as bad as impersonating a kangaroo, sorry. Anyway, glad you agree about Sui.

to be fair to Raygun, these performances were better than her Olympics performance. She just doesn’t have the athleticism for top level breaking

Imagine getting schooled by a 9 year old, the judges ruling in her favor, thinking in your own head the judges were just being nice and that you actually did win to then say in an interview that your record speaks for itself on you being the nations best break dancer. Delusional.

Wow!! She DOPE AS!!!! Woundr if she was at ANY of the qualification comps for the Olympics?! ...🤔 And can anyone recognise the judge in the first comp who voted for Raygun?? Pls let me know if you do recognise him. Definitely should've been our rep at Paris this yr!! 🇦🇺🤙🏽🙂

Not the "end". Ray beat the 9 yr old in the rematch. If you watch all 3 rounds it's pretty clear. Both battles were close but people are being way too harsh cuz they like to hate.

I'm not saying Sui would have medaled at the Olympics, but she wouldn't have scored 0 points. Raygun just out here floppin.

They should ban Australia for the next 2 Olympics for making a mockery of the proccess. Everybodies blaming Raygun, but ultimately somebody made the decision to put her on a plane to Paris. I dont know much about their athletes but they will forever be remembered for this shambles. Not sure about Breaking in the Olympics but this piss take has put their cause back at least 50 years. I still wonder if this whole thing was a prank or some form of next level trolling.

I am so sorry for all the talented girls from all over the world who trained hard and still do - who will never have a chance for another olympic competition and medal. Actually there should be protests. Breakdance shouldn't have fallen out just because of this non-talented shame of a person.

Sui moves were more assured, energetic, and consist of challenging hand as well as head spin compare to Raygun's. At 1:10, Raygun seem to run out of steam and started this "wiping-the-floor" moves that didn't seem to flow.

I dont know anything abt breakdancing. But Raygun's moves are so lousy, like its all over the place. Like her "style" (if thats what you call it) is like cleaning the floor bec she lied down many times. I see a lot of videos here and I think the best ones can stay vertical with feet on the air without fear of falling 😂 but Raygun? I didnt see confidence at all
