If you think about it Admiral Lee is the reason the Enterprise herself was born and the subsequent modifications she would receive throughout the war. As well as all of the guns put on the Enterprise and all the other ships. Everything we're seeing in battle 360 is in part because of Admiral Lee frantic stamping forms, modifying forms, and in general going over the heads of the Bureau of ordinance

If you saw the Ramage’s Rampage video, the IJN Kiroshima was the ship that Ramage shot 5 Mark 14 torpedoes at but they were all duds. Just imagine how that battle would have gone if the torpedoes actually worked. The Kiroshima would not of damaged the South Dakota’s electrical/communications, the 3 destroyers would not of got sunk & the other 2 IJN ships would be coral reefs.

Huge bump for anything and everything Drach; especially his "Ching" Lee video. Also, recommendation for all and shout out to Seth Paridon, Captain (retired) Bill Toti, and frequent guest Jon Parshall of "The Unauthorized History of the Pacific War Podcast", and their video/episode that goes into gleeful, incredible detail on Lee's Guadalcanal engagement aboard Washington. It is (quite perfectly) titled, "The Night the Giants Rode Across Iron Bottom Sound"

There are just so many badass mvp’s in American history and because of them we have reached a extreme high point of control of the world. Maybe not total world peace but I tell you what a carrier strike group rolls up and as Steven Decatur said “peace was achieved through the mouth of our cannons.” That can be applied here peace is achieved through the screams overhead of our Jets!

"military was made to go slow" I remember thinking while I was in, if it were any slower it would be going backwards. The F*cking wheel is spinning but the hamster is already dead...

A standardized military is a good thing for cohesiveness, but the system must recognize that some people are outliers that should be viewed as an individual, particularly if their skills are things you could really use. Not everyone is a leader or expert, but some are and they should be identified and built up to be useful rather than cut or left to languish in the system. It's an extra bit of work, but it pays dividends in the long term.

I'd love to know if Lee ever had an IQ test done. I doubt it but if anyone knows differently I'd be very interested to know what that number was.

Watch the episode about this by Unauthorized History of the Pacific War podcast, " the night giants rode" . They tell how at that range the Washington's 16 inch guns had the power to go in one side of Kirishima and out the other.

the way you're dishing out the content is fine by me mate, I think you're doing a great job of not just spamming stuff I've already seen on ETS21. I think it's a great idea to introduce some of that stuff to this channel but as you said bit by bit. With the other content I'm not sure why you don't have more subscribers? Maybe go back further see how people used used to fight before guns? The history of fighting is more than just the two world wars. Not sure you're into that though.

@@WreckedNation01 C&Rsenal & their Primer series. It's the history of firearms from the French Lebel (the first modern military rifle), through to the end of WW1. They go into the how, where, when, and why of the guns in amazing detail, including live-firing. BuOrd gets a few well deserved brickbats as well. With 200+ episodes, the only ww1 period guns they haven't covered are unobtainium...
