@DrReddit 4 жыл бұрын
@@sorrym8421 most distance world records weren't even splits, marathon wr is negative splits, same with kenenisas 5000m, 3000m world record was led out fast and slowed down just like galen, consistent splits are not necessary for a world record, a good time? maybe, a world record? doesn't matter as long as you have the mental strength and physical strength to accomplish it.

@@DrReddit That's total nonsense. Every world record was run with almost perfectly even splits, especially the events you just listed. They run even splits the whole race and then sprint as fast as they can the last lap. Every world record is even splits the whole race and a bit faster for the last lap.
@DrReddit
@DrReddit 4 жыл бұрын
Fine Wine Daily “almost perfectly” none of those were close to being perfect even splits, at all, do you even know the splits? 2 seconds between splits are a huge margin, especially running at a pace that’s elite, it’s not nonsense, it’s you being delusional, many records were set with even splits, many were not

Was Komen running indoors in that record? Not that I think Rupp could beat Komen.About the ONLY thing I see separating Rupp from being able to beat the Africans is the beast mode sprint they bring to the end of their races.To be sure Rupp has speed but that's PACE SPEED and the Africans even kick off of that tremendous pace.He withers most men off with tremendous pace but this is where the real test is of the greatest runners on earth.They have the ability to seemingly "translate" themselves in the worlds or olympics meets.

@@BlueBeardie “they run clean” yeah good luck with that ☠️ Galen’s allegations are every bit as logical as accusing Grant of doping. Don’t forget, Grant has a teammate that actually got caught. No one at the Oregon Project ever got caught. Also, no one could’ve predicted Grant’s insane progression over the last 2 years, which is why it’s sus. When I wrote this, no one was breaking 13, no one was running sub 3’55, no one was running sub 7’35. Barely any Americans had even run close to sub 27’10. We’re not even factoring in super shoes/super spikes 😂 and if people think they don’t make a difference they’re insane. The amount of extra training you can do with Vaporfly’s on your feet is wild. Remember, Galen was running 100 miles a week on an underwater treadmill because that was the best way they could find to increase volume of work without causing more damage. Now the shoes and spikes are doing it. We’re in a difference era now. However, my point with Galen in the half or full still stands. Maybe someone could snipe him in a half marathon but no American is beating him head to head in a marathon.

I don’t understand why there’s an extra 18 metres?? Is 2 miles not just an even 3200 metres? Meaning a perfect 16 laps exactly from where they started?
@arek5985
@arek5985 5 жыл бұрын
N J no, 2 miles is a tad over 3200 metres. One miles is actually 1609 metres, but it’s usually rounded in track meets

They were pacers, just there to help set the speed needed to break the WR, and they couldn't finish the race at that pace so they drop out and get out of the way of Rupp (the guy who they're pacing for)

Pacers are runners who run the next level down from the race they are pacing for. For example this was a 2 mile race, the pacers are probably 1 mile runners, they are better at it so Rupp an keep up with same speed and since he is more endurance trained he is able to keep that same high speed for a lot longer. Once you set yourself at a high speed and with the right training you could surpass pain level and dominate.

Your lungs are on FIRE, your legs feel like lead and EVERY fiber of your being is screaming, "STOP!
