Richard has been coached all this time by the great Ziemowit Wojciechowski, truly an incredible team 💪

Thus far he is the greatest and most successful British fencer of all time. Even though he never won Euro Champs or the Olympics (not incapable, just never happened for him although his Silver at World Champs in 2018 was amazing), his results speak for themselves. There will never be another Richard Kruse. He has paved the way for the next generation to hopefully prove themselves. And I for one hope to see the GBR be up there eventually. I sincerely hope Kruse considers taking up coaching alongside his coach Ziemot, his knowledge and skills are invaluable.

From my understanding, Kruse is coaching full time now that he’s retired.

Having just spent a week with Richard on the staff at a camp in Edinburgh, yes he is passing his experience on to the next generation.

Great to watch the difference in balance of attacking, counter attacking and line actions changing over time as RK's explosive power had declined with age and his fencing nous has developed.

@@OlympicFoil I think Nerm was insinuating that this particular fencer was the best in the world, so instead of "Greatest GB Fencer" it should be "World's Greatest Fencer", or something similar
