Idc what anyone says, these are the kinds of stories that make sports legendary.

Stories like this are why I love sports. I love seeing people dedicate themselves to being the best at their sport and overcome nearly unimaginable adversity to get there. Stories like this one are why I will continue to watch and participate in sports for my entire life.

@@tobiasfunke8967 Yeah that's true but that's sports only the best make it to the top. For me that's also part of the beauty of sports. There are honestly not a ton of things in life that are a pure meritocracy but sport is. Whoever is the fastest runner, strongest lifter, farthest thrower, etc. is the winner it's pure and simple. Where you come from, who your family is, or how much money you have are completely irrelevant because all that matters is your results and there's no shortcut to winning just a ton of practice and hard work over time.

@@tobiasfunke8967 That's irrelevant, sports at any level, from a local club of strangers or friends to the minor leagues. Sports is and can be the pinnacle of one achieving thier own greatness in life. Speaking from experience as a person who participates in indoor soccer and struggling on the field yet becoming a local team hero finding out I was better as a goal keeper.
