Lol , we use a lot of metaphors in our music , it just goes over non Nigerians ( except Ghanaians) heads . Even the English parts most times mean something different. For example in this song, he mentioned Sambisa right after saying he had burnt his liver . “ Now I’m lost in this Sambisa aaa” , he sang . I’d explain what and where Sambisa is . Sambisa is a forest located in Northern Nigeria and probably the most popular forest in recent Nigerian history . Sambisa is the “residential address “ of the Islamic terrorist sect Boko Haram that has terrorized and killed people living in Northern Nigeria for a decade if not more . He’s literally saying , he’s being terrorized or lost in such a scary place as Sambisa. I think you’d pull up lyrics to videos you react to , you’d be surprised how much English is being used ( I mean we are the 3rd largest English Speakers in the world right after your country and India ) , also react to lyric videos for audio music and you can actually google many of the words you don’t understand. Urban dictionary definitely has the answers to even the none English words we use .

Thanks for your comment, cause I was about to write that Nigerian music uses a CRAZYYY amount of metaphors and wordplay, with a lot of rich references that goes over even some Nigerians heads, not to speak of Non-Nigerians. You really have to pull up the lyrics and check the references to get them.
