MG it's expensive paying Tire Co's, Alignment Co's, Concrete Co's, Saw Horse and Lantern Co's all that money to keep Omaha a disgusting, painful mess. Nowhere in the U.S. are streets as rough as in Omaha! Even Omaha's patch and repair work bottoms out your car!. All Dem & GOP are at fault, too many years of passing the buck!!! I live in Omaha and I like it. It was a great place to raise my kids. I bought my first house back in 2002. I was 22 years old and worked in a manufacturing plant. I'm not rich but I'm not poor. Omaha has always had a very low unemployment rate. If you want to work there are plenty of decent jobs. Decent jobs that will by you a decent house. Maybe not these houses, but a decent house.

There’s a lot to be said for Omaha NE. Most people outside Nebraska have only ever seen the I80 corridor. Omaha is not the boring image full of corn fields and beef cattle some people assume all of Nebraska is. Thats all mostly west of Lincoln. Omaha’s got a lot going on. Some definite negatives though. Property taxes and weather being foremost. Almost Florida like heat in the summer and many times it’s colder than Alaska in winter.

I worked "off duty" at Newport Landing. It IS pretty spectacular. When this channel tells your travel times, they are talking about going to downtown Omaha, including some driving on older surface streets, in fairly heavy traffic. For example: The Sanctuary-35 minutes, is actually about tem minutes (max) to the most popular shoping center in the area. So, though it may seem isolated, it's actually on the edge of everything you need.
