The glimmer of light keeps us attached so long it isn’t until the damage settles and your left in ruins, that you can bring yourself to leave as you’re forced to realize there isn’t much remaining. This video is so complimentary to the song. I’ve definitely felt like this and envisioned myself this way. It’s like building a home within yourself and inviting the wrong person in. I can’t believe I’m just finding this song. I’m crying because this was really me 2 years ago. I was a mess. In love with a guy who did not love me back but was so manipulative I kept coming back, we moved in together and 2 months later he left me for someone else…I had never felt so low and hopeless, I cried myself to sleep every night and the pain got so bad I turned to drinking and partying to numb the situation.
