Tonight's story was Hansel and Gretel by the Grimm brothers. The version Polka was reading had the evil mother set up the plot to leave the children in the forest to die, and also had the duck helping the children back home at the end of the story. After the stream Polka discusses her thoughts on the story a bit, how the Grimm brothers' tales tend to have someone die, and how the witch's house is portrayed in different editions and how she has been imagining it herself.

last night was my first time listening to polka reading something like this and i gotta say: it was awesome. Where I live the clock runs 7hours late (compared to japan) so it was about 8pm, if I recall it correctly and therefore I wasn´t "sleepy" just yet but the moment I closed my eyes to just listen to her (and trying to understand as much as I could), my head started to wobble slightly and somehow I got really tired and ultimately fell asleep. Initially, I planned to only listen in for a while and then return to doing some other stuff but it was impossible. It was a great experience for me and I´m definitely returning to listen to another fairy tale (or whatever she´s going to read) and obviously I´m also gonna check out her other content aswell there might be hidden pearls I´ve been missing out on this whole time great work Polka! just make sure to get plenty of sleep yourself ^^ I´d love to write this in japanese too but as for now it´s impossible (I really gotta learn more)
