Here is how OMBwarehouse.com converts the Coleman crank the right way. We do not recommend sleeving the crank to 3/4". The key that holds the driver components to the crank is built into the hub and will not have enough engagement into the crank for long-term survivability!

If the gear the driver pully is on is backward would that cause it not to engage

I ordered a torque converter with a stage one kit from OMB Warehouse I did not get the right bolts to mount the engine to the riser plate so would you be able to give me the size so that I can buy them and bolt my engine down to the plate that came inside the kit

Is this clutch too large for a 79cc Predator motor? Ive heard others say it requires way more energy to turn it than the 79cc really has in extra power.

After grinding, shaping and whatever my 3/4" sleeve to fit over a 5/8" shaft, I Thought, "Man, so much work to not be guaranteed a balanced fit and farting around with integral keys and non-integral keys" So I decided to shop around and decided to throw money at the problem, make it go away, so I just bought a 3/4 shaft crank and a stage 2 kit for my BT200X from OMB Warehouse. Now I can stop baking my mind over this. Please note: You should inform Canadians that we do not qualify for free shipping, all we can do is hope to save money by combo shipping. Thanks.

Mine got stripped and I need to order a new one but I'm having the same problem i don't know what darn size the bolt is. My mini bike is a MB200 not a Coleman and my crankshaft is 3/4 inch and i can't seem to find the bolt for this on any of the websites I've checked so far. Very frustrating.

Hi Gray Goat perfect videos. I install my torque converter on my Coleman CT200U-EX every thing bolted on good. My bike seem slower now do you know why?

Hard for me to know why it is slower without seeing it. I do recommend cutting the upper limit screw off the stock throttle plate to make sure the carb is opening all the way. That does not affect the governor and should give you speeds in the high 30mph to low 40mph Other than that make sure the chain is not too tight and the rear brake is not dragging. It is common for people to get the new chain on and not adjust the rear brake!

Just recieved my stage 2 and tc from omb and mine came with both driver and driven disassembled. What is the correct order for the driven, have a washer that has a key cutout dunno which spot it goes on the driven shaft

Eric. Or anyone that can help me. Glad I found this. And glad it this is not a video that is 8 years old. So thanks for the updated "My time line" information. Great info of course. Been listening to you for a while now, but a few years before when I bought my first 2 stroke. I've since moved to a 4 stroke Preditor 79 cc. And no matter where I looked, searched or googled, I could not find a belt driven clutch and jackshaft for my 5/8 preditor shaft. All have chains that are available. Perhaps this adapter is something they sell? And its something I can order. So I can then go and find a belt driven clutch. Who would I need to talk with at Coleman that has watched this? Thanks for any info or feedback to help me get my bike going. I've also considered my line up is not going to be very close since the 4 stroke sticks out to both sides by about 4 inches more than a 2 stroke. But I see people riding these on youtube. So it must line up? Eh? Hope you have some time to help an old man out. Thank you for being here on utube.

I see a lot of folks using the 5/8” to 3/4” sleeves. I have a couple issues with that. The crank you have is not 5/8”, it is 16MM which is .005” larger in diameter. Try his makes the sleeve expand as it goes over the crank. The other issue is that the key that indexes into the crank is built into the driver clutch hub and has minimal engagement into the crank key. We did not feel that was a good long term solution and can fail. Trust me, it would have saved me a lot of time designing the adapter if we could use a sleeve!

Most mb200 bikes have a 3/4” shaft. You would need to pull the clutch off and measure the shaft to know what crank you have

Mr Gray goat I need some help please I bought a phantom Moto all terrain which on the website says that the chef size is5/8 . And I bought a torque converter that says that the shaft size is ,3/4 I don't want to go to the 212 preditor from harbor freight it's too big & The police where I live will impound the bike and I use it as my wheelchair I need to get a shaft converter from for a 5/8 inch to 3/5 in crankshaft for a 79cc 4-stroke Honda clone to the 30 series torque converterp

I think you may be SOL on this setup. I looked all over for a similar issue with a 16mm crank (5/8"...almost), but the best option I found was the adapter sleeve this video is about. BUT...it requires a TAV with a 1" arbor...not 3/4". As mentioned in the video, you just won't get good engagement with the actual crankshaft keyway with a thin slide-on sleeve. If you can't return the original 3/4" TAV at this point, you may not be out ALL of your money. Many places sell simply the front (driver) pulley, and you can buy just that part, but with a 1" arbor. That, combined with this sleeve, should have you in business

NO! We do not use hardware store washers to space the driver unit! That will cause an out of balance condition on the crank as the ID of those washers is not precise.

@@TheGrayGoatGarage Hey, I hit you up a month or two ago about this setup (adapter sleeve on stock crank, 1" TAV, riser plate, and a stage 1 kit on a CT200U), but got waylaid by some family issues. I'm now trying to install all this, but the stage 1 exhaust (with the riser plate) now hits the bottom of the frame rail that the seat sits on. Is there an easy way around this that will keep me from having to cut the exhaust header apart, clean up the parts, and re-weld it to the flange at a slightly lower angle?

The issue with using a 3/4” sleeve is that the key that is built in will not engage into the crank and not recommended That is why we went from 16MM to 1”

The torque converter is a variable pitch design like a constant velocity transmission. It gives more low end torque and an approx 10% overdrive. The pulleys change their diameter allowing this to happen. Once you use a torque converter you won’t go back to a centrifugal clutch

Did you leave the original spacer on before putting on the washer? I took spacer off and put the washer on, then the sleeve. Now the shaft sticks out beyond the sleeve is that ok or do I need to buy washers and start spacing it out? This would be easy if omb warehouse just made a installation video. Any help? Thank you!

@@hudsonmyers7404 that is the correct belt in the link. That belt is for 7” centers and not the diameter of the driven. There is not “6 inch” belt as the belt listed is the shortest 30 series belt

Stuff from omb doesnt even fit properly. After sanding a ton i think itll slide on...well see soon i guess. Junk as far as im concerned.

We are always quick to blame the American made parts when going on a Chinese engine! Remove everything from the crank, start the engine, and use some fine sandpaper on the crank
