Real eye catching casual watch. Love the dial design and blues hands with golden seconds hand. Big fan of those lugs too. For £56 this is a real bargain.

Got the white dial variant on the bracelet. Beautiful looking watch and the first white dial watch I plan on keeping opposed to my Orient Bambino and Seiko sarb035 which I sold shortly after buying them.

I have this watch and I love it. The strap is not very practical. It’s very rigid and has reinforcement inside the “leather”, so it will never break in. I have a 7.5 inch wrist. The second retainment ring doesn’t even reach end of the strap. I would recommend getting this with the metal bracelet instead. I put mine on a leather and it looks great.

The stainless steel bracelet comes with the traditional butterfly clasp ... not as cool but it does make it sit lower on the wrist.

I take it the Seagull movement is what allows hacking? I see some versions of this don't hack. Also, when you pushed the crown back in, the second hand jumped a couple of seconds, another quirk of some Seagull movements. Good review. 👍

What a weird impulse buy for me. My Seamaster is off for service, and I just got in a rubber strap for it. I wanted to try it out so bad I just needed to buy a watch with a 20mm width.

Nice one. I got the same dial and movement option a while back, one of those ones that grows on you nicely. Heard idea from JOMW to put it on a red strap, recently did that with a lovely red leather rally from Onthelevel and it's fantastic. Also got their black suede/orange stitching strap for Corgeut white/orange Railmaster and it looks superb, prob best pairing I've managed to pull off so far, really pops, I think better than what the more popular black dial version would have, and so much better than the drab brown strap it came with.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yeah the red picks up that minute track nicely. Sometimes matching with the hands works but a blue seemed a bit boring with this one. Your strap looks good, so hard to get the right hue of fawn/brown sometimes. Got a wine red nato in same package, first that goes really well with sea blue Amphibia, picking up the red second hand, so I'm liking reddish bands if not too bright. That mint dial Parnis is proving difficult to match though, might just have to do black. Sadly I've spent more time looking at straps than watches even...agree with you on Natos, getting sick of the bulk. Hopefully Ali sellers will start doing those 2-piece Natos like Vario, I haven't come across any yet tho.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Definitely, love the slimness and the feel, more than Natos/Zulus, although the glossiness of the latter sometimes preferable. Again, hard to get the hue and the midlines matching perfectly tho. Would be good to see more patterned bands in general tho - I saw a photo of a black/yellow zigzag/’chevron' on a black 1963 once, looked fantastic but some boutique release long sold out. Any Ali sellers reading please take note :) Def recommend those suede ones, feel and look great, got another black one with blue and red stitching that goes perfectly with the Pagani Pepsi GMT.

I went for the black one on the bracelet. It also has pretty poor lume. Hands are better but still don't last long. But seems a decent watch for the price. Runs around +15 seconds per day.

I just bought this watch, with the metal bracelet, and it looks too plain with it. Your review convinced me that a nice light brown leather strap will really provide some nice contrast. Strangely, having clicked on the link you provided, the spec for the bracelet claims the bracelet width is 22mm, whereas the spec for the one you bought says the strap width is 20mm. This is puzzling, since don't have calipers to measure mine, so am not unsure what size strap to order.

Yeah definitely. The lume on the indices is the worst I've experienced so far on an AliExpress watch.

I think the problem is not just that lume is expensive, but that it is also very time consuming, since it is baked on in layers. Each layer takes many hours to bake on before the next layer can be applied. So, it can take days of baking and hours of painting to get, say, 15 layers of loom like on expensive watches.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I have the Cadisen C-1009 Longines Conquest homage - lum on those indices are ok but there is absolutely none on the hands - LOL. Still in the light it is a gorgeous watch - I put it on a Breitling style leather strap and it looks even better and higher end.

I had always assumed that lum was applied precisely by machine just dried (maybe in a low temp oven) and then reapplied and that it was the quality of the lum as much as the number of applications that indicated lum. Interesting to know the long time it takes to bake in and dry.

The Corguet Aqua Terra homage is of terrible quality. Mine broke after 5 months and the Corguet official store will not honor the one year guarantee. DONT buy from this store and DONT buy this watch unless you want to waste your money. There are better options available from Pagani, Phylida and others. Stay away from the Corguet.

It varies depending on who you ask. For me personally I class it as an homage, as it's not trying to pass itself off as the original. It has different branding/sterile. Also they are aimed at completely different markets. People who buy homages aren't likely to buy the real thing. As they can't/won't pay that kind of money for a watch. So they just want something with a similar look, but at a more reasonable price point. Homages are bought by people who love the originals and the brands who make them... Where as fakes are bought by people who want to try and make out that they are something they aren't. They don't care about the originals or the brands that make them at all. It's a status symbol to them nothing more.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I've seen a number of comments on watch threads (including from some high profile reviewers) who get the homage REALLY love the look and fit and then get the real thing. That is another thing homages are great for. Find out which high end watches and styles you love first and then spend the big bucks to get it. Much better than spending upper hundreds or thousands of dollars then finding out you don't like it and immediately having to sell it for less than you bought it for.
