I am happy to hear that this video helped you. Personally I prefer the watch without the day window, it looks cleaner. I do however like the AT Golf edition with the green elements, makes it look very interesting.

Exactly! Many who today onw automatic/ mechanical watches have started with quartz as less expensve alternative and talk bad about it, but they shouldn't, cause without quartz the mechanical watch history might have died. And becuase of this development todays mechanical watches are better, more accurate and like the 1st class when flying, the best thing to look for if you have the money available. I like them both.

I understand, but same thing, it is very easy to read in any light situation. I didn't have any problems and even if there should be an angle where you couldn't read it you just turn your wrist a bit and it's fine! From my side no problem at all and a clear buying advise! Enjoy it mate!

Hi SaltehCrab, you don't have to worry at all, the watch is very easy to read, both in light and dark conditions. The lume is very bright once charged (sunlight or light bulb) and shines greenish in darkness and blueish when coming into light again. I can highly recommend it. You made a good point, I will have to do another video to show the lume in darkness. I agree with you, the white dial looks more classy and I decided to go for this version as my 300M has a black dial! cheers

Not just the ladies watches, also the unisex (mid-size) will stay. 38.5mm is just right for me, allthough I like the 41mm 300m. Would you get an planet ocean aswell?

True, they will keep the ladies watches as quartz due to the size restrictions and the Deville models too. But they will discontinue the 300M for sure as this was already discussed in watch forums on the web. The 38,5mm is too small for me, I only have 2 watches with less than 40mm.

I have not experienced any problems with the new designed bracelet and since I bought it and when it was set up for my wrist I didn't have to adjust it once. But any company in the world will try to make mroe profit and they pack it as innovation, not sure if this is the case with Omega cause only time will tell how good or bad the bracelet will be.

The quartz 300M is my daily watch. When I change watches several times a week I need to always adjust my manual watches, with the quartz 300M I just grab it and go. Always handy when you get out of bed last moment and have to rush out to work.

I did try it the first month when I got it, but I don't remember, but it should be something like yours. I am switching between my watches and sometimes the AT runs out of power reserve, so I can't tell you at the moment.

Ok, you are right, the smaller versions will keep the quartz movements. Planet Ocean, I was actually planning to get the PO as my first Omega, but it came different. It is still on my list, but before that I want to get the Speedmaster Moonwatch with the Hesalit glass.

You are not the only one who needs to save money for quite some time for a watch, allthough I might be a few years younger than you are (I'm 18) I was saving for the Omega Seamaster 300m Quartz (the one you have) But since that one is discontinued I'm going to buy an Cartier Tank Solo Large with crocodile leather strap.

I don't have a scale, but I read around 150g. It's really nice, I don't feel it that much which doesn't mean it's not a nice feeling to it.

They didn't discontinue all of their Quartz models. Omega discontinued their 'regular' models, but they still make the 300m quartz and the AT quartz, but only as Mid-size models. The AT Quartz mid-size is 38.5mm and the 300M is really small: 36.25mm.

I didn't want to get 2 quartz and I really liked the 8500 AT and the view on the movement. But if I would have not gotten the 300M in quartz I might have gotten the AT in quartz. I would get one before they discontinue the quartz movements.

Yeah.. He's wearing a blue 38.5mm AT in Skyfall. Its really nice. Ref number 231.10.39.21.03.001.. Its already up at Omega's website though its not shown as the official Bond watch yet. He will also be wearing the 42mm 8500 Planet Ocean in the movie..

Wow, it really does look like it is, just checked it again. Shame, I have not paid attention, but it is so small, without magnifying glass or like here in the video you won't be able to spot it if you don't know that the screw has a "dent". However, I still have a few spare links with screws which I can replace it with, so it's ok. In the end, I do wear my watches and don't just keep them in the drawer.

Right, what I remembered. You see, for me 38.5mm are a bit too small for my wrist (or at least I don't like it) and it should be the same with Daniel Craig. The 42mm PO is much better, but so much bigger compared to the AT. It builds very high due to the new 8500 movement.

I know what you mean by high on the wrist. I tried on the PO 8500 the other day, it did sit really high on my wrist which is why I still prefer my PO 2500. Judging by the photos of Craig on the set in London during the filming, the 38.5mm looks just about right on his wrist, no doubt a tad smaller than what we usually see him wear, but it still looks good on him. I'm right now wearing my 38.5mm Seiko 5, and it fits me just nice too. Any smaller though, and it would look awkward..haha..

the screw bracelet is actully crap. If you loose a screw its £30 for one. need special screw driver as well for that. It actually impractical and takes just as long to remove links and it doesn't make the bracelet any safer to wear. Just increased the cost of manufacturing which alltimatly is passed to the end wearer. Another omega advertising move
