Between the two, I’d choose Omega any day. For me Omega is a Hesalite Moonwatch. It’s been my grail, so I might be biased. That said, I appreciate what Breitling has done from world class in-house chrono movements to bringing back great designs like the Premiere line.

You cannot go wrong with either brand-- I own both. George Kerns is making Breitling relevant again slowly but surely. If the re-launch of Universal Geneve takes off in 2026, Breitling will be all the way back to relevancy.

Tim: really great show tonight and awesome assist by Garrett. Watched the show twice, there was so much info. Very informative with the historical arc of Rolex, Omega and Breitling since the 1990's. Appreciate the riff on Pierce Brosnan's tenure as James Bond too. RE: Czapek Antarctique question -- I meant to type *review* (not interview)...I did watch the long-form review and I didn't feel like you made the case why it is better than the PP Nautilus, VC OS, or AP RO yet you made a comment that is was your favorite integrated bracelet sports watch. Yes, it was more a throw away comment and the point of the video is to review the Antarctique but I thought it was worth following up on. Thanks Tim!

the Lexus analogy was spot on imo. Omega gets underestimated quickly because it reigns in the ranks of mainstream luxury divers and chronos, so ppl go "ah, Tudor/Breitling/Heuer level". But on second thought when considering what they are capable of when they go peak performance mode it's clear they are a different breed. Sure, most ppl wouldn't turn to Omega to buy their first tourbillon, but I think, they place their tourbillons in aesthetically the best way. Also, they make the most beautiful full gold chrono🤷‍♀️

I think Omega clears Breitling in the Dive Watch category though I think Breitling has made great strides the last few years with the Premier line which has a lot of nice dressy chronograph pieces where as an Omega Chrono is distinctly in the sport watch category. Also great show as always.

Fun one tonight with two heavy hitting brands Tim! I definitely prefer Omega. I think their METAS certification makes them one of the best value brands out there, let alone the fact that I definitely prefer their designs over Breitling. Breitling is above Tag. Omega dominates over Breitling. Looks wise, I'd prefer the Navitimer over the Speedy. HOWEVER, Breitlings service shop SUCKS. They polished my raised B clasp flat. Wouldn't take responsibility. Will not speak to you if a dealer sent in the watch. Even dealers hate Breitling service department.

Agreed Rolex and Omega are in a class of their own. Breitling is between Tudor and GS imo. I don’t think people cross shop Omega and Rolex anymore.

If I've got a choice it's Breitling over Omega. I like my watch aesthetic and design to be great. Breitling deliver that in abundance over Omega in a head to head of most comparable models. Not all but most. I appreciate their is a movement argument too but in the end you have to look at the watch and as an example, the chronomat on the rouleaux knocks the speedmaster into another dimension!

Comparing Omega to Breitling is like comparing a fencer to a WWF wrestler. The main association in my mind when I see Breitling is private equity quick cash grab. The comparison that would hurt more where it matters is Omega vs Tudor, which delivers METAS for half the price with much of the Rolex aesthetic.

Shiteling is overpriced for what they offer. Their offerings in the $5k range are sub par. Take the superocean for example and compare it to a similarly priced omega seamaster. The omega literally blows it away. If you get into their better offerings like their chronographs, you’re looking at Rolex level money.

Always buy Breitling grey or secondary market. At an immediate 25-30% discount off MSRP they make sense. At least to me, I do love my old Breitling Superocean with the detailed dial purchased for $1975 in 2018. But will agree as a brand they stand below Omega, above Tag.

Prefer Breitling out of the two only vintage Omega I'm a fan of. Modern Omega does nothing for me. I also like Breitling still remain independent and aren't a slave to the Swatch group
