Note for anyone who wants to play with the width of the gloves: The reason the initial chain's stitches have to be multiples of five is that each chain in the fish net is five stitches long, so it wouldn't be symmetrical if the initial chain were to be, let's say, a multiple of three that didn't match with a multiple of five. Take 33, for example. You COULD use any number for the initial chain if you wanted to, though! You'd just have to make it a multiple for whatever length you wanted to choose for the fish net. Let's say you wanted each chain in the fish net to be three stitches long. You could make the initial chain 30, 33, 36 or 39 stitches long, to give an example. The list goes up.

Very good! But i reccomend saying that the 40 goes around you wrist, and its not the length of it. But good overall

Just my personal notes, don't mind me. The SIZE 6 OR G hook The black yarn you used for the dnp sweater 35 foundation single crochet In the thumb hole, 12 chs 6 rows above the thumb hole start making the holes with 6 chs instead of 5

Thank you - this has really helped me - we all have different shaped hands and arms! I have used 4mm hook, Caron simply soft (had spare black ball in my stash). 35 stitches also works for me - and the 12 chain thumb hole, however, I haven't needed to expand to 6 chains - but a really useful hint 😀

The initial chain should be as long as your wrist, kind of. It'll wrap around your fingers and continue towards your arm. You can do whichever works out best for you, just make sure that it's a multiple of 5 and that it feels comfortable around your hand ^^ I made it 35 chains long.

Yes, I think so! I’m working on a green and pink one right now, I don’t know if there’s another way, but I cut and tied the pink off, and then started with the green

Hi!! I made 6.5 inch gloves and used less than my 115 yard ball of yarn. I would guess around 85-90 yards for both gloves

40 chains , skip first row single crochet, should have 39 single crochet. Connect ends with slip stitch through first single crochet, Chain 5 and skip 4 stitches and put single crochet in the fifth. 12 for finger holes.
