OMG!! I Finally Got Them - Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless Headset Unboxing - Best Gaming Headset?

Hey everyone thanks for watching another tekhCHEK unboxing where today we looked at the STEELSERIES Arctis 7 Lossless Wireless Gaming Headset. I have wanted a Steelseries Arctis headset for so long now as I love the design and once they went on sale for black friday (2019) I just had to grab a set. This is technically the first Steelseries product I have owned but having used their products before, they have always felt like quality and this headset doesn't change that at all. I understand your pain and I've been really trying hard to streamline things as well as give all the information possible as well as explaining things to people who may not be able to read english well. I am sorry for the long box description but I have some viewers whos first language is not english and have trouble reading the information on these boxes. Thank you so much but I do have to say I was really excited as this was a Gift and I did go a bit long but exactly what your saying is why I started making videos. I knew there had to be more people like me who wanted more information from someone who actually was going to be using the product on a daily basis, not someone who just got them for free did a video and will never touch them again. Hey thanks for watching and I understand there are many issues with this video which I am working on for future videos but if your asking what this channel is for? Its for me to share my experiences with products/games I purchase for myself that I actually want and plan to use. When it comes to headsets everyone is looking for different things so I cant say which one would be best for you all I can say is check out reviews and grab whichever one seems like it works better for your use case.

Just wondering just got my arctis 7 and i tried it both wireless and wired. I realised that the sound is much better when its wired. And when its wireles the sound is too loud and the bass boost thing in Windows does not work. And one that knows how i can fix this?

I just bought the Arctis 5, and they suck. Weak sound, no bass, horrible 7.1, but really comfortable. Returning them tomorrow.

Ohh really I have heard a few other people complain about the Arctis 5 as well so I am glad I didn't get them and waited for these to go on sale. I wont say these are perfect by any means and I am not a fan of needing to use the software to get the full experience but yes your right this is the most comfortable headset I have owned yet. @@tekhCHEK Yea the comfort is the only good aspect of the 5's, tbh. They just sound fuzzy or filtered... I can't find the right word. Tinny? Distant? You know you're wearing headphones from how bad it sounds--it's jarring. Just not worth. I'll be spending slightly more next time for a headset that actually produces clear deep sound, and actually has 7.1 (these absolutely do not, in spite of the claim on the box). Too salty to try again with the 7's.

@@jasonfrost5025 yes I'm the same way and most likely would have switched brands as well. I'll also say the 7.1 on these is not the greatest and only seems to work for me, unless I'm doing something wrong, when using the software which tells me it's not true 7.1

I just got the Arctis 7 today. I applied a EQ to it from the SteelSeries Software. When I'm using the headset wired. Plugged directly into my PS4 controller. The sound quality does not sound as good if I used it wireless. Anyway to fix this?

I just got the Arctis 7 yesterday. I only have 1 problem with it. Why does the sound quality sound so bad when you use this headset wired? It sounds perfect wireless. But when wired it sounds bad. Anyway to fix this?

I actually haven't had this issue. Have you tried a different cable and have you tried on another device to see if you can narrow down the issue? Are you plugging directly into your device or into the wireless receiver?

@@tekhCHEK Actually I returned the headset last week. The new one should be here by next week. I fixed what was wrong with it. I messed with the software. The only problem I had on the old one was the mic wouldn't mute when wired. I think it stopped working because of the firmware update. When I get the new one I'm not gonna mess with the firmware

Hey thanks for the question and actually feels great. I wear glasses with large plastic frames and I notice no pressure whatsoever. I can easily slide my glasses on and off while wearing them and the headset doesn't even move. I'm very impressed with this headset and it will probably be the last one I own unless it breaks or something
