Starting marketing in December works out since that's also when 'Creature Commandos' releases. It helps promote cynergy for the DC brand by having one product begin marketing when another product is already launching. I've said before around the Christmas season would be a potential time for a teaser. And WB is releasing a film that month 'War o the Rohirrem' so they may want something to go along with that film. Like how 'The Hobbit' was the initial vehicle for 'Man of Steel' for promotion.

December is a good time to release a teaser. A lot of people go to the movies during the holidays. People who don't normally go and don't really pay attention to entertainment news, is a great opportunity to show the general audience a teaser of the new Superman.

I think the Bane/Deathstroke movie was half true and the Mr Freeze movie was false. The Bane/Deathstroke movie and the GL casting did come from official sources. Plus, Aaron is following Tom King (or one of the writers, I think Tom) on Instagram, adding fuel to the fire. It’s pretty much as official as the rumored Hal casting you talked about. Also, Josh Brolin confirmed he passed on Hal. Just giving you video ideas.

I totally agree with regard to over doing it with the trailers. I don’t want to know almost everything about the movie before it comes out. In fact, I’d really prefer if all they give us is one very brief shot of the villain and wait til the final trailer to do it. If something is coming in Brazil in December let’s hope it’s only a short teaser trailer, give us a solid trailer during the Super Bowl and pay for a huge spot like just before or after kickoff and then a final trailer as we approach the release. This is really exciting, movies have gotten better in my opinion and I can tell this is one that if it disappoints it’s because James Gunn has had some sort of major creative &/or brain malfunction that will for the most part end his career, I don’t believe for a second that that is happening here. This is going to be huge. A huge Superman movie with the rest of the summer to be seen could take in well over a billion $$$. Love hearing that Tudyk has a role. Krypto would be excellent!!!

I think that DC Studios should release the SUPERMAN Teaser Trailer will come out during the Super Bowl on February 9, 2025 then the SUPERMAN Official Trailer will come out May 2025. Deadpool & Wolverine went through the same process this year, because that was the only Marvel Studios project that came out on July 26 and next year Superman is the only DC Studios project besides Peacemaker Season 2 coming out in Theaters.

This won't happen, but I would love if we got the SMALLEST of glimpses or teases for Superman in a TV spot after or even during the final episode of Superman and Lois. Transition from the TV Superman into giving us a surprise tease of the next cinematic Superman to come. It won't happen because why would the next Superman movie be teased on a TV show, but I think it would be nice. And in addition to Transformers, Amazing Spider-Man 2 is another example of a studio putting out TOO many trailers and TV spots. At least with The Dark Knight in 2008, all that marketing was organic and before social media really took off. Also, I agree that the studio has a challenge trying to convince those, like yourself, myself, and others, who were invested in the previous Superman, to jump on board when the studio treated the prior cinematic universe so poorly, and some fans who are skeptical that things have changed.

I think its inevitable that the DCU first SUPERMAN teaser trailer much like the new suit will have a similar look to the Donner /Reeve 70's movie trailer. Heres how I'd do it. Open with the powerful new theme ie John Williams style intro. A James Gunn Film. The WB, DCU Studios logos followed by the new SUPERMAN movie logo. Then the cast names ending with the classic dress tie and white shirt pulled open to reveal the new S shield design. Coming July 11, 2025.

Hey bud, sorry but I don’t agree with the Super Bowl. Those commercials cost between $6 million and $7 million for a 30-second spot. That same money could be better spent on other marketing methods. For example, you could invest in social media ad campaigns, influencer partnerships to reach specific audiences, KZbin ads that target key demographics, a billboard campaign in major cities,, or sponsored content on popular websites or blogs. Plus, all of these options combined would still likely cost less and give you more sustained visibility compared to one Super Bowl ad!

That's fair enough mate but I will counter that! The Super Bowl is watched by over 123 million viewers in the United States, that is a hell of a lot of eyes on your movie, even if it does cost a lot. I think their marketing budget can easily allow a Super Bowl teaser plus your examples of other promotion. A 30 second spot for $7M is a lot but when you think about trying to get as many people as possible aware about the rebooted DC Universe, it actually seems quite needed. You need to show people that this is something new, something they haven't seen before and is a fresh start. A lot of the general audience won't know about the DCU and the Super Bowl would be a great, direct way of showing them.

Go check out BTS of Black Panther and Spiderman. Their baggy suits(for flexibility) after filming,went through post production n came out looking good n TIGHT! So....NO WORRIES! Gunn got this! From the BTS looks of Gunn's metropolis,he's going for the retro futuristic n civilians clothing ala superman the animated series n DC the new frontier (which the trunks fits brilliantly!).Unless Reeves does some retooling with the batman universe mainly Gotham..looking like art deco style like Bruce timm animated series or noir futuristic like the Arkham city game with zeppelin flying overhead. Then I can see a match-up of Cornswet n Pattinson(in trunks too) when scenes switch from metro to Gotham n back again during the movie..But the way as is of Reeve's batman now..hard no. Bring on the new Gunn's DCU Batman in trunks!
