Being pro is not about skill alone, it is about earning a living out of something. As I understand it, he is a professional streamer, because that is where he gets his money from, not tournament money :)

Grub can pull games any time from the best of the best. Whether grub is top 5 really depends on the day and whether his mouth is open.

Grubby does have a lot of pro-level experience, but he's said he doesn't like playing in the pro tournament scene anymore because it: 1) doesn't have consistent pay; and 2) he has to train specific macro, micro, and maintain a high APM. He can't do wacky requests (like solo Warden) or play races other than what he plans to use in the tournament. Because of this, he's not "pro" at the game in the sense he's playing against other pros at a competitive level. He's not playing at his absolute best and can derp around to give us daily videos.
