Jones is hands down the greatest country singer ever in my opinion , and that's hard for people to argue because he did absolutely live everything he sang... I tell everybody every single person on the planet has a George Jones song that tells their entire life.

George Jones had such a terrific voice! He could sing anything and make you feel it. World class talent. To prove it to yourself, just try listening to one of his songs, then try singing it after he does it. You'll realize the unbelievable voice control, emotion, range, and so much more. He inspired so many others - he's the original.

George Jones was a country legend singer songwriter from the 50's-80's. He struggled with alcoholism & drugs during his life. He was married at one time to fellow country music singer Tammy Wynette & they had some great duets together. He had so many hits such as "White Lightnin'", "She Thinks I Still Care", "We Must Have Been Out Of Our Minds", "Love Bug", "Things Have Gone to Pieces", "The Race Is On", "My Favorite Lies", "I'll Share My World With You", "Take Me", "A Good Year For The Roses," "If My Heart Had Windows", "He Stopped Loving Her Today" & many others.

George Jones can flat rip your heart out with his songs. "He Stopped Loving Her Today", "Good Year for the Roses", "The Grand Tour", "Things Have Gone to Pieces", Window Up Above", "Where Corn Won't Grow", "A Picture of Me Without You", and the duet with Tammy Wynette, "Golden Rings" are all George Jones songs that are guaranteed to put a lump in your throat. There are undoubtedly many more but that's the ones that I immediately thought of. Thanks for reacting to a song by George Jones.

George is so good because he sings the songs many of us have lived. My first wife had went down to stay with her parents a couple weeks. I couldn't go because i had to work. The day she was supposed to come back home, i came home from work and she wasn't there, but she left me a letter saying she wasn't coming back because she didn't know if she loved me anymore. Took my two babies and left me forever. You can't imagine the pain that ran through me for a long time. George tells the stories of many of us.

Hi Shawn and Mel, so nice to see you back. I always enjoy your channel and your reactions. You also play such a nice variety of music there is always something for everyone. I just got done listening to your last video with Madchild 1000 Fire Emoji's. It was fun seeing your smiles and energy, the beat of the song was really infectious. I couldn't help think about what a difference there is between these two songs. Both men are story tellers in their own way, but I think the real difference is not how they express themselves but what they each chose to say in their story. I. have to be honest Madchild's song, terrified me in parts with it's violent lyrics and imagery. Where George's song spoke about human feelings, sorrow regret and lessons learned. One is a man trying to demand respect and power, through violence and outward displays of material possessions and then there was George singing about his empathy for a woman who broke his heart, , he expertly showed both sides of the coin. Maybe because I am getting older, the message of the lyrics really matter to me now in a way they didn't when I was younger. it is hard for me to watch violence. It has been my experience that what we feed our brain with really impacts how we look at life, and our level of depression or dissatisfaction with life. Anyhoo, just my thoughts on the songs. Keep up the good work! :)

GEORGE JONES IS ABSOLUTELY AND POSITIVELY THE GREATEST COUNTRY AND WESTERN PERFORMER OF ALL TIME!!! YES!!!!!!! THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 THE IRONY abiut this particular song is that George Jones was ADAMANTLY DETERMINED NOT TO PERFORM " He Stopped LOVING Her Today" because it was WAY TOO DEPRESSING AND UPSETTING!! He REFUSED fo perform this particular song and made the recording executives.very displeased and disappointed. They tried to find other art8st to perform.this particular song, however; NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE, could record this particular song and make the recording executives pleased. As a result, the song was shelved for a quite a very very long time. After haggling and butting heads with the recording executives, George Jones FINALLY DECIDED TO RECORD AND PERFROM " He Stopped LOVING Her Today." INDEED, George Jones is THE GREATEST COUNTRY AND WESTERN PERFORMER OF ALL TIME!!! YES!!! THE GOAT!!!!!!!🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 RIP!!!!! GEORGE JONES!!!!! YOU ARE CERTAINLY AND DEFINITELY THE GOAT!!!!!!!🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
