It happened to me as well for my first extension (2nd month) noticed stated to go to the nearest office for an assessment. The assessment consisted of explaining why I wanted to stay longer, extension was granted but I left for a hassle free 60 day visa in Thailand. I was not impressed with the Philippines, there better, cheaper and safe places to stay long term then the Philippines IMHP. I stayed in Vietnam for a month , and lived in Thailand for 18 months in 2022 -23

You can’t do online if you have been in country for over a year consecutively… I had this happen to me, they keep your money as well.
