Love how Omnium Gatherum has this youthful-but-mature energy about their music! It's very positive and energizing unlike most other metal. Their signature sound has been one of my favorites over the years. Some songs are a hit or a miss for me but when they get it right it's just absolutely AWESOME. It makes you love life. :)

OG have made there way into my top 3 favourite melodic death bands. I always worry when a band releases a new album but these guys have crushed it yet again!
@vinaymulukutla3583 жыл бұрын
This band have only gone from strength to strength over the years. I got excited about them back in 2004 when I heard Years In Waste and was pleased to hear that they were Finnish. I love Finland by the way, it's one of the most beautiful countries in the world with a very fascinating culture. Not to mention one of the most metal countries ever. There are no words to describe how grand and epic this is, especially in terms of their multi-faceted approach in terms of songwriting and instrumentation. They have pretty much merged the greatest of the realms of melodic death metal and progressive metal.

@@protolexis They said the new EP turned out to be more focused on ballads because of their writing process during the pandemic, so we can bet the next album will feature more blasting goodness. If they would write like four different versions of Pale Morning Star and call it an album I'd be more than happy.

Many people still have issues with Jukka's vocals. The fact that it's hard to set audio properlu for deep growls during live shows doesnt help. Man can deliver awesome growls but after 4 OG concerts 2 of them had bad audio set up for his microphone
@Speed4Runs3 жыл бұрын
It happens anywhere, many are just bots and others are trolls
@isaacjohnson70063 жыл бұрын
@@miqvPL Personally i think this is pretty common tbh. I've had this experience with lots of bands at least. A LOT of hardcore and metal bands have a hard time getting things mixed right so its not just all guitar and drums. :(
@rafaellago1723 жыл бұрын
It's not for everyone. Some people still can't wrap their heads around the fact that death growls can be an interesting addition to such a consonant and melodic sound. It has been this way since the early 90's.
@Speed4Runs3 жыл бұрын
@@rafaellago172 To be fair, I'm not a fan of Jukka's vocals. Like really, despite I like Be'Lakor's which in _some_ moments has a close resemblance to this. I'm more into Peter Tägtgren, Stanne, Masse Broberg, etc.. But, I still love the song as a whole, especially the last part when the vocals become deeper. Despite not being 70% ok with the vocals, I clicked that Like button. It's true that many people don't like this style of songs; metal is either considered "not music" or edgy for posers who want attention. The first group is obviously the one that would dislike the video, along with TRVE METAL trolls. Buuut, considering how many people know OG and how many of these don't like them, I'd say there's something more. There are many videos that thoroughly explain Physics (not your usual "is the universe infinite?" kind of stuff), and yet even them are full of dislikes. Some people may actually be sure about disliking it - maybe they don't like the explanation or it's just too difficult for them; but for the most part, they probably didn't even watch the video. I used to have a channel with about 80K subs, and the amount of dislikes are the same of my current one, which has videos of like 100 views at most. I know some of them are just haters due to my comments, but some are just random bots just like those who comment "COOL VIDEO OMG YOU DESERVE MORE LIKES" and have never seen a video in their life (whose channel has 200K+ subs _without_ a single video). In a few words, both humans and internet are shit (sorry, I'm just frustrated today)
