Noob: The Factionless - Physical Edition: amzn.to/44j06YJ Noob: The Factionless - Digital Playstation : bit.ly/4419Bvt Noob: The Factionless - Digital Steam : bit.ly/3CYDwbr Todays video is brought to you by NOOB: The Factionless! Check them out using the links above. - Update on other projects: The next big video I've been working on is almost done, but I'll likely be hanging on to it for a little bit while I get some other stuff sorted. With the baby on the way, and SO CLOSE now, I want to get a couple videos ready to start releasing after she's born. The next big video after that I already have planned and am playing through a game for it right now. A classic that I hold very dearly and I know many of you do as well. If you like videos like this one I have another one already in the works as well. On the topic of Reverie, I didn't pursue a review code for it as I knew with everything going on (Mostly baby-stuff) I wouldn't be able to complete it in time for embargo and it's not in my nature to review games I don't beat, so I am picking it up day one and playing through it the same time as the rest of you. It is in my plans to review it though! I've reviewed the entire trails series so far, might as well not end the streak!

Sort of interesting thing happened I guess but like, I finished the game and really enjoyed it, but definitely felt others enjoyed it or were more affected by it than I was. I wrote my part for the video, recorded my lines then gathered the footage and music and as soon as I put that music in while editing I immediately felt nostalgic for the game, and I had only just beat it. It may have left more of a mark on me than I realized cause that music brings so much of it back so fast.

@@TarksGauntlet the story didn't hit me as hard emotionally either and I was a little mixed on the twist ending. The characters are super loveable though and the atmosphere and combat are incredible. I got the Aubrey plush from omocat.

Returnal is so fun. I’ve beaten it like 40 times, some of that due to the originally glitched trophy for finding the lore stuff.

2:15 ("Omori") I've been somewhat interested in "Omori" ever since I saw a review of it by the channel Nitrorad. As strange as it sounds, it seems to be handling its themes in a more grounded and relatable manner, to me anyway. Though at the same time, I don't really feel any inclination to actually play it. I guess it's one of those cases where I appreciate it more for its message than the actual game part. 5:45 ("Returnal") I've had this in my backlog since last year. Been saving it for whenever I get in the mood for a frantic TPS but man...I'm too swamped with games at the moment. Been playing so many decently lengthy RPGs (SRPGs especially) and 2D action platformers lately, and still finding more. I'll get to it eventually. 8:05 ("The Evil Within 2") This is something I feel like I want to try but I'm just too hesitant to. Like you, I must have one of the few people that actually liked the first game and I had a terrible time as a result. I remember one of my favorite LP'ers at the time, Helloween4545, tried playing it and hated it. Me being very naive at the time, I was constantly trying to give advice or give fun facts about aspects I learned...only to end up becoming a laughing stock in the comments. "Only someone like shadowmaksim would like that", stuff like that. Of course, I know better now and to not care but as a young-ish recluse, that hit me hard.

I absolutely loved The Evil Within 2, and vastly prefer it over the first one. I liked the first one, but only just, and mostly for the awesome Kidman DLCs. I thought the first one felt really rough and unpolished, I hated all the one-hit kill attacks, and the villain seemed like he was designed by an edgy high schooler. The best part of the game was the trippy sections that spat in the face of physics, which I’m happy that the second game doubled down on. On top of that, TEW2 made it a more personal story about Sebastian’s family, which came to a head beautifully in the final section that dealt with his wife. I loved the second game, and I wish more people played it, because I don’t personally know anybody who did.
@TarksGauntlet Жыл бұрын
The second one reviewed considerably better than the first and seemed to sell quite well, but yeah, people didn't talk about it as long. I just wish Sebastion had more emotional depth than a cold stone (might've made his closure and the end of the game a little more interesting instead of feeling like it tried too hard), and that they crafted more spooky events throughout the latter half of the game. Felt like they relied entirely on enemies and combat then. Game was a fine enough romp but I definitely preferred the tone, challenges and linearity of the first games crafted adventure.

Only commenting this here because it's your latest upload, but why can't Senran Kagura 7even come out on Switch? I mean what are the true logistical reasons? Does Soyny own the rights to the mainline releases? Can Nintendo legally release a mainline game or no? Clearly Nintendo can have spinoff games, so why not the real ones, as well? 7even was ruined because of the morons at Soyny, but Nintendo doesn't seem too averse to having those games on their platform. I just got into the games, manga, and anime and hate that it's a dead franchise now despite that they seemingly have a good path forward with the Switch.
@TarksGauntlet Жыл бұрын
Nintendo has had mainline entries in the past so I'm not sure the issues. Uppers faced a similar issue spending years in limbo before quietly releasing on PC in the west. I'm guessing the engine it's on is just hard to convert to switch and they're not willing to add more money to the development of the game to pull it off right now. Might be a project for later. When/if they ever feel like it
@petesaguy1707 Жыл бұрын
@@TarksGauntlet is the franchise a financial failure overall? I can understand not wanting to put money into making new games on the switch if they don't yield decent returns, but that would still be a massively disappointing reason not to keep the franchise going on Nintendo.

@@petesaguy1707 I imagine the franchise makes good money for a niche IP.
