No other game has made me feel such deep, existential dread like this game did. It's a masterpiece, but it's absolutely NOT for everyone. You need to take those trigger warnings very seriously and know that you are stepping into something darker than you can imagine.

@@victori4butter the dread I felt during this game is similar to what I felt during Free Churros episode imo. But on a much more personal level. I could easily relate to a 16 year old, but I guess I can't really relate that much to alcoholism, shitty work, and more mature topic covered in Bojack.

My heart cried seeing the good ending duet part and all those moments when a character cries and everyone else cheers them up always makes me cry inside... The only thing I less like is the sometimes too slow paced parts like when your in the dreamworld. The fights in the dreamworld get very tedious to watch while the real world feels more faster and more progressive. If it took a bit less time and a bit more fast paced i would give it a 10/10

@Arb717033 жыл бұрын
Theres definitely some very heavy hitting themes, if you think it may be too much for you to handle thats alright. I think the way that the game handles these themes is quite tastefully done and it never really feels forced. Life changing game for me, i think you should give it a shot.

i already 100% the game and even kinda speedrunned it to get the final 2 archivements lefts some time ago. Waite 6 years for it but due to the hype i expected to be dissapointed with the game as "it not gonna be what i wanted" , boy was i wrong , the game is a blast , never i had a experience like that before. things to get into account: -go into the game blind -learn about the emotion system fast to win fights without having to wait 10 turns for "release energy" . -the game last for 20hr but since there are different routes it can go into 40hr , i had to go 90hr because of the archivements since i made mistakes a few times. -there are a few softlocks but most of them are in the "post game" eske part of the game.

Heyo!I just want to know if this game is kind of a horror game, It seems like something I would love but I can easily get stuck at points in games because of fear, so if there's any disturbing imagery or jumpscares, please let me know
@NoisyPixelNews3 жыл бұрын
It’s more like psychological scary but no jump scares
@catcactus12343 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s listed as a psychological horror RPG. And yes, there’s also jump scares (albeit a small amount and some of them require specific action to trigger them). It’s not immediately terrifying, but the game becomes more fear-inducing the longer you play it. It doesn’t rely on jump scares or gore, but it does an excellent job of slowly building an uncomfortable atmosphere to the point where you become incredibly paranoid and terrified of your surroundings. And the content itself is incredibly dark and depressing, so you should take that into consideration. After I finished the game, I was left with an incredibly uncomfortable and empty feeling due to the twists and revelations (but it was still an amazing journey none the less.) If you can’t stomach things like suicide, murder, depression, severe anxiety, or disturbing imagery in a game (there is a specific plot point that relies on imagery of a hanged girl), then you probably shouldn’t play it. But if you can deal with it, I highly recommend checking it out.
@augstuffie86093 жыл бұрын
I haven't really finished the game but I've played a good 9 hours of it and, yea, it's got plenty of horror elements even if horror isn't what omori focuses on (more rpg if anything) And sure, it doesn't have any REAL jumpscares (just quick flashes of a certain monster that pops up every now and again), the more you play omori, the scarier it will get.
@joshuabradley61103 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is a horror game. It's not all blood and gore, but it is quite possibly the most effective psychological horror game ever made. It excels more than any other game at putting you in the shoes of the protagonist. You will bond with them, you will BE them. But that also means you will feel what the main character is feeling, especially near the end. You will know what the main character knows. That in itself is horrifying.

It's a pity the characters and world are so visually boring, not to mention it's uninteresting story topics (depression again? really?) because it "seems" like an interesting game, but I'd rather just replay it's inspirations.
@known_questionmark3 жыл бұрын
its, not really about depression though. while that part is there, its more of about guilt and how it affects a person, and what i see to be a really real one too. Thats why i love the story so much
@catcactus12343 жыл бұрын
I get if you might not be into the kinda repetitive dialogue in the first portion of the game, but how on earth are the characters and world visually unappealing? The hand-drawn animation and pastel colored world absolutely creates some stunning visuals. And no, the game does not just rely on “depression” as it’s only theme. In fact, it mainly focuses on the severe impact of trauma and the guilt associated with it. Omori is not necessarily depressed, he’s severely traumatized and mentally unstable throughout the game. Perhaps you just played the first hour of the game and put it down? I highly recommend at least completing it once to get the full experience.
@tenthirtyseven-v13 жыл бұрын
@@catcactus1234 It's just not my style I guess, pastel colours have never really done it for me and to my eyes the characters look like "my first anime character" drawn with a scratchy pen tool and nothing else.
