KZbin recommendations are on point. I have been following the development of the M4 over on Jonas Wackershauser's channel for quite some time, & it's amazing to see that it's finally here. You guys did a fantastic job with reviewing the M4 here. =^/.~= PS: You have earned yourselves a new subscriber... with notifications enabled.

Great review and very realistic description of the build process! As a big fan of the OMPHobby M2 in all its versions (M2 EVO, M2 V2 and M2 Explore) and the M1, the M4 will be a MUST for me. As I have never built a heli coming in a set I was afraid if I will manage this. You made me believe its possible!! Cant wait to build anf fly my own M4! Greetings from Poland!!

All I would add is that if you do end up buying one, as I believe I said in the video, try following the manual as closely as possible and try not to forget or miss anything. Other than that enjoy building it and have fun!

I bought one of these and am currently building it. This will be my first heli I've done completely on my own and The "radio setup " in my opinion is the hardest part so it remains to be seen if it's beginner friendly or not🤷

@@rchelicopterhub I am using the spectrum fc 6250 and I watched the Brian Phillips RC channel and did everything he did but mine did not turn out like his. The tail servo is not moving the way it should. I'm pretty sure it's something in the radio because I've tried other servos and they all do the same thing. First of all the cyclic servos are running on 333 MHz and the tail servo won't move on anything but 560 MHz and it auto moves to the left endpoint. If I move the stick to the right it will move but then will auto move back. I can't seem to find anyone who can help me with this. Nobody in my club can/ wants to help me figure it out so it's been sitting in my garage collecting dust. Very disheartening and frustrating. I think I may know someone who can help but the whole point was for me to finally do one myself without help. Very much sucks!!!!

Love your videos so useful as regards flywing F1 control this is the only way I have managed to fly a Heli I fly normal aircraft no problem but Heli,s continue to elude me as they are naturally unstable I try my best I am trying to find a flybarless unit that will allow me to get a stable flight envelope , so I can get some confidence . I love the M4 it looks fantastic and I would love to build it I have the M2 I did manage to fly this a little . I really do not want to continue GPS flying and want to fly like you guys !!!!!
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub 2 ай бұрын
Good decision :) It's matter of time and practice. Everyone can get to a certain level. Thank you for your feedback anyways. To be honest, the M4 is still very stable at us. It's still well recommended. Because there wasn't demand for any stabiliser and GPS control presentation, finally we didn't make it. But honestly: this heli is as good as it is now.

The H1 can be tricky, but there was no real demand to test this heli that way, so we skipped it. Once we can allocate some time to do a test of H1, we will. Until then, what was your problem?

@@rchelicopterhub I have not been ale to calibrate the compass. I know The H1 requires a specific BEC voltage so I will try a programmable BEC.

Sorry for replying in English, but my Portuguese is limited to couple of words :) Modelling is cheap nowhere. I can't tell you a single country where this would be considered cheap sadly. Bigger models cost as much as a second hand car - or more. But still we try to do our bests. And TBH this is the reason, why we can introduce a very limited number of new models. We are not financed by anyone, so we have to allocate the budget when we want to do something - from the family budget. But never give up!

Hello would you have an idea on the goosky rs4. I hesitate between the two?
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub Жыл бұрын
Well, we have no experience with the other one, so it would not be fair to speak against either one in favour of the other. Also we don't get any commission if you choose the M4. But they are on two different approaches. OMPHobby is delivering a good heli and you are free to choose your desired FBL and receiver. By my feeling RS4 is more around its own FBL unit. They have the same roots, but they are on different paths.
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub Жыл бұрын
One thing is certain: The OMPHOBBY M4 is a great heli with an even greater manual. If you choose this, you won't regret it. However this does not mean, if you choose the RS4, you will, just we don't know how that will turn out for you, as we have no experience with that at all.

Not knocking this thing but it looks like a slightly redesigned Oxy. I'll stick with Oxy, not a fan of the direct drive, too proprietary and don't really see any advantage. But that's just me, I'm sure they will sell lots of them.
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. I'm not sure what you mean with this redesign, because there are similarities to Oxy helis as well as others, because at the end of the day all helis share the same principals. But it is a genuine OMPHOBBY model. We highlighted that in the video, the DD can be some sort of risk, but so far so good. The benefit of DD is the simplicity.

This is not even close to being a beginner heli. Don't do it. Get a simulator and a blade nano (or similar) until you can comfortably do nose-in and figure 8s forward and backwards (upright and inverted). Then M2, then M4 etc etc. You will save youself a lot of $ and frustration by taking this advice.

If a beginner relies on a experience person for maiden flight, than it's not a beginner helicopter. She should have been flying something more towards beginners
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub 3 ай бұрын
Thanks, but let me disagree: ANY RC HELICOPTER maiden flight requires an experienced pilot. This is like you have a user friendly car, which is easy to drive, easy to park, easy to use. Does this mean your car does not need a car mechanics time to time?
