Seen here is a ride on a 1 train, operated by R62A, bound for 137 Street-City College.
Due to structural maintenance, 1 train service was split into two sections:
1. 242 Street-Van Cortlandt Park and Dyckman Street.
2. South Ferry and 137 Street-City College.
Free shuttle bus service ran in three different sections:
1. 137 Street-City College and 168 Street-Washington Heights, connecting with the A and C trains.
2. 168 Street-Washington Heights and 191 Street.
3. Dyckman Street, connecting with the A train and 1 train.
I was wishing for a R62, however since most of the fleet on the 1 consists of R62As, it was already covered for the whole ride, since there was no R62s running and it was being used on the 3 to cover for extra service for the 4 late night, I only got an R62A to ride for the night.
It’s been a while I haven’t done a ride to 137 Street-City College, since it was a temporary terminal for the 1 since the other part of it was north all the towards Dyckman Street and Van Cortlandt Park. But that station was hot, and by hot I mean humid since the whole station was indeed of repair. During most of the ride, there was some unruly passenger at 86 Street in the cab at 30:41, which is stupid for everyone who goes in and vandalize in their, and they would have to take it out of service because of that. Please be considerate, never trespass or break into the operators cab for no reason, you can get arrested for it and would be banned for riding the train if ever done again.
In the end, it went into relay at 137 Street-City College, so that it would be taken back out again for southbound service to South Ferry.
Enjoy!
