And yes, It is important to come from a family that loves and cares about each other that supports one another, absolutely.

I've been sick 20 years so had a long time to think about this and I suspect think that when people begin to figure out how trauma healing work like Irene teaches and functional/holistic medicine type work come together then medicine will make leaps and bounds in treating the chronically ill. Right now, due to the historical separation of the mind and body, they are waaaay too separate in a way that doesn't make any sense. You can see things got pretty messy when she started describing the skin issues with well it could be this or that, and I did this and that. No one is an expert in both yet, except for a few like Dr. Aimee Apigian from one the episodes. It seems to me from my studies that "stress" can be from anything. It can be from physical or psychological issues. When the body doesn't have the resources to deal with a stressor the nervous system will begin to dysregulate in the exact same way. If this isn't true it needs to be figured out how to differentiate because that could save a lot of people from going down the wrong roads (Dr. Amen's spect scans may help differentiate ??). An example would be that MANY chronic Lyme+ disease patients develop depersonalization/derealization disorder which is clearly a state of extreme stress and flight/flight/freeze. I believe it is due to something like inflammation affecting the nerves and neurochemical balance causing anxiety that doesn't shut off easily. DPDR or not, many Lyme patients are helped by trauma therapies like EMDR and many are also cured by sophisticated antibiotic regimens or intense detox treatments and nutritional support with no regard for trauma work. I'm sure its the same for Chronic fatigue and other syndromes. Personally I believe metals/toxins and viruses play a large role in everyone's mystery illnesses and mental illnesses. I'm suspicious that the reason either approach can work regardless of the origin of the disease is that whatever you do to relieve stress, whether it is this trauma work which is really like a form of energy medicine, or its detox and nutrition, is that people will get better when they relieve enough of the burden that their internal selfhealing mechanism can take over and do the rest of the work itself. I somewhat reject the notion that throwing supplements at the body just won't work for someone stuck in fight or flight and you HAVE to do trauma work first. Good medicine is pretty hard to come by and unaffordable. I think in these cases the physical medicine doesn't work because its not intensive enough or not the right fit for the person. Like I think if you gave everyone with Lyme disease $100,000 to go to a retreat and get the intensive daily treatment and testing they need most of them would get better with or without trauma work. I'd wager that when people get enough energy through nutrition or whatnot their body becomes much better at moving through emotional trauma on its own and the past falls away. Some people say emotions and trauma are the hidden cause of all disease, but at some point this is only true in a very round about sense because we are biological creatures just like a plant or horse that will get sick if our needs are not met. Trauma work can restore instinct to meet physical needs, such as just knowing you need to eat something with magnesium, or even restore your vibration such that you synchronistically manifest a free bottle of magnesium. It can also reduce your need for magnesium drastically because you aren't peeing it out due to fear. But it can't give you magnesium. I don't know. I could be totally wrong. These are just thoughts based on some observations of people's healing stories and healers with consistently successful approaches that seem diametrically opposed but both work.

You didn't ask for advice but thought I would chime in. I am not an expert here and I haven't yet finished this particular video, but I can tell you that sometimes there are other things going on like nutritional deficiencies that can contribute to issues. Irene has another video with a functional medicine doctor that goes into this a bit more. So for me if you're not seeing progress using one modality time to potentially explore other things. I am in the process of addressing copper and zinc deficiency which if you don't know, copper is needed for central nervous system function. I can do all the regulating exercises I want but if I don't have the "juice" it just won't be as effective.

I left the countryside and moved to the city to work, kept the same diet i had from birth, processed sugars, starches, junk fruits and veges whenever and since 2011 - 2024 I've been struggling with constipation, dropped in weight, no matter what i eat no matter how much i exercise, food eliminations, its still there. But every time I'd go back home to the countryside to visit, I'd gain weight in a matter of days and my bowel movements are very frequent twice a day sometime with no fiber, just regular plain old food. I did an experiment back home, 4 days eating gluten and starch and processed sugars, little veges, fruits and i was still going frequently. So still being in the city i cut out all the junk food and processed sugars and still having issues in the city. I need an answer anyone. Please. I'm desperate at this point.

My first thought were EMF exposure and sensitivity, and perhaps you are an empath picking up other people's stress and issues. When extra sensitive, all the business and noises in a city might also be the drop that makes the nervous system freak out.

@kikki20122 ай бұрын
@@hanifjones4914 Yes, that is possible. I'm very sensitive to the environment and have felt the shift when the body no longer could withstand the imbalances from the poisons in our environment, including our food. I've struggled for years. I've seen videos on this channel showing examples of people breaking that cycle of overload by doing the programs she offers, for instance SBSM. Also, from what I've picked up from her videos, there could have been a stressful event when you moved, that opened up suppressed trauma. Moving house is in itself considered a very stressful event similar to a divorce, the loss of a loved one, etc. It could be the perfect storm: move house + environmental toxins + stored trauma, as an example. We are also living in a stressful period when the world is changing rapidly. I hope that made sense, and that you get well soon. I believe I will be. All the best! I think the 21-Day Nervous System Tune-up would be a good start.

@medusaslair2 жыл бұрын
We usually get worse before we get better, that goes for all kinds of issues.
@EmilyPorter2 жыл бұрын
I don't know about infections. But fatigue will definitely get worse if you are coming off a fight or flight adrenaline high. I've never gotten through that phase to good healthy energy myself, but I've observed this cycle enough times to know that the functional but anxious state is actually way more dysregulated than my fatigued to the level of life dysfunction state. Its a hard thing to get out of because modern society is very individualistic and capitalistic and shames laziness and requires us to work to stay alive so we generally start to panic and feel intense guilt when we get so fatigued that we are having trouble feeding ourselves or taking care of chores or being a good value producing member of the tribe and go right back to a higher survival mode. I suggest you find some way to rest and have your needs taken care of as much as you possibly can and indulge the desire to rest as much as you can. Even if you have nobody, if you have any money, consider indulging in food delivery and such to baby yourself through the adrenaline crash and recovery phase.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I’ve been doing basic stuff too and started to get a different cold/virus every 2 weeks. I went on winter break from college for a month, excited that I’d get to relax finally. Instead I got sick with about 4 different viruses one after another with barely a week in between each. So my entire winter break I was sick. Irene mentioned that once you are in a safe environment your body knows you can deal with everything and that’s when it all comes up. Maybe this was all caused by something else but I’m also wondering if it’s from this work. I’ve never been sick that many times in my life in such a short period of time.

I've been very sick for 20 years (I'm 28), and getting worse. I can't look after my own basic needs because of crippling fatigue. And because the illnesses I live with are not recognised in Australia; I am not eligible for practical support. I am blessed to have financial support (enough to survive, not thrive, and only eligible when single or when partner is unemployed), after fighting and eventually going to court to receive Disability Support Pension. The stress from that from ages 16-23 did not help matters so far as my health is concerned. I've ignored my body's needs and coped by taking antidepressants from the age 18, for 9 years. This allowed me to compartmentalise, and over the course of 7 years, complete a 3 year bachelor degree in accounting. I could not work shifts for an employer, and eventually settled on my own bookkeeping business, where I have been working 20 minutes or 2 hours here and there throughout the course of a week. I have had to quit recently. I thought that it would be a job I could manage with health problems, but the I.T. component since COVID has caused too much stress, and I have had to give up my entire career. I have just spent 20 hours a day in bed for 3 weeks, and am slowly coming out of this flare up. I have been using this opportunity, now that my brain is working again, to rest on the couch, in between catching up on a months housework, to educate myself a little bit more. I have the + ANA, and inflammatory markers, and + fitness bike test for chronic fatigue, and also have been told I have fibromyalgia and suspected lupus. I also have low iron stores. I also have over 50 follicles, hormone imbalances, insulin resistance, high DHEA, and do not ovulate. I have tried gluten free and various other diets, all causing more problems, and not helping. I have been able to reduce intake of Celebrex, as I have just started taking Hydroxychloroquine, and it seems to be working. I tried reducing my dose of anti-inflammatories before, and was getting pain worse every day until I literally couldn't move and was screaming in pain, and went to hospital, at which point I gave up. So being able to half my dose of anti-inflammatories with no consequences is a huge achievement for me. I want to thank you for working so hard and for taking a holistic approach. Many other professionals get tunnel vision, and I really need this at this stage in my development. Thank you for helping me, and many like me, by sharing your findings.

Not everyone believes in god or follows the same god as you. Stop coming to videos about science and medicine for the vulnerable to try to take advantage of vulnerable people and try to convert them and tell them what to do. If your god existed and was benevolent, they wouldn’t approve of you pushing your beliefs onto everyone and giving them a bad reputation because all their followers are toxic and telling everyone they should believe whatever you believe. Do you think you are the definition of perfection and that everyone should be like you? Pride is a sin, according to your bible - yet you openly practice it as if it’s a holy trait. Your god didn’t write the bible himself, so there’s no proof it is his words. And because it was written by men, of course it’s full of misogynistic bullshit that benefitted men at the expense of women. You’re naive, uneducated and blind to the fact you have major internalised misogyny to believe there’s anything holy about that book.
