Amazing presentation Irene. 👏 Perfect example of trùe medicine and why the pharmaceutical based medical system is substandard in terms of resolving illness, especially chronic illness (ie based on a faulty premise). While I agree with pretty much everything stated I feel there's value in mentioning the importance of properly managing the biological machine in concert with the trauma therapy. Issues such as gluten/dairy/grain intolerance, MTHFR/methalation, pyrroles, detox, gut healing protocols, etc... are imho equally important to doing "the work". I look forward to hearing more of your wisdom 🙏 blessings 😇

Hey Fractal Codex, Seth here from Team Lyon. Thanks so much for being here and watching and chiming in! It's totally true that a person will need more than just one approach - diet, nutrition, exercise, detoxing, etc.. can definitely be a crucial part of one's process. Irene doesn't address that in her materials though because when it comes to those areas, and other vectors of support, such as massage, energy work, acupuncture, talk therapy, etc..., what each person needs is going to be HIGHLY individual. So she focuses on the elements that are universal - the need to restore nervous system regulation and release old survival energy is something that ALL survivors of trauma have in common.
@FractalCodex7
@FractalCodex7 4 жыл бұрын
@@teamlyon3109 I understand that. My point was to merely mention the importance of these other factors so people are clear that's a holistic approach is what's needed, and thus to seek these modalities with practitioners in those respective fields. Trauma work is only ONE factor in switching off the Cell Defence Response.

For those of you with questions about ibs, nutritional deficiencies, headaches or leaky gut, I went through a stressful situation and it switched on my genes for celiac disease. If you don't have the genes you don't have to worry about it, but many people do. So I got very very sick and I had to remove gluten from my diet. I still have fibromyalgia it didn't help that so that's why I'm here to help my fatigue and pain. But I just want people to know that sometimes there are actual autoimmune diseases like celiac disease where gluten is the problem and removing it from your diet will help. May I help everything but I'm still alive and I wouldn't be if I was still eating gluten.
@IreneLyon
@IreneLyon 2 жыл бұрын
Aimee Williams, thanks for sharing about your experience with gluten. Making changes such as the dietary changes you describe can definitely be important and compatible with doing this work. And as it sounds like you know, often these changes alone aren't enough to create healing from chronic symptoms and conditions. This is where growing nervous system regulation and capacity can often make a difference. - Jen from Team Lyon

Your work is amazing, life changing and revolutionary Irene! Thanks so much for what you're doing. I definitely suffer from chemical trauma and it’s probably the main reason of my chronic rhintis, having grown up in a war zone. Is there any place where I can find more guidance related to healing chemical trauma please?
@IreneLyon
@IreneLyon 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Vincent, Seth here with Team Lyon. There's many approaches for healing the effects of chemical trauma. One, is just doing this work in general. Also though, there can be multiple, more complicated causes for such problems which may not be related directly to trauma and the expected resultant nervous system dysfunction. If symptoms, issues and conditions arose due to things such as: exposure to toxicity in the air, water, or soil either from chemicals, mold, poor sanitation, or other, various forms of radiation, pharmaceutical interventions, hormonal imbalance issues, or if there was and is severe deficiencies in nutrients or other things the body needs, it may be that other interventions in addition to this work will also be necessary. Some of these interventions could include things like: dietary change to support better nutrition and/or hydration; various detox protocols such as chelation therapy, oxygen therapy, or with a product like Pure Body or Pure Body Extra, which Irene and Seth have both used to detox from heavy metals in the body, and which they recommend. irenelyon.com/2021/09/06/healing-from-toxins-detoxing-with-zeolite-interview-with-eddie-stone/ Other helpful interventions they’ve been using include exposure to natural light outside first thing upon waking (no glasses or contacts), which supports circadian rhythms and mitochondrial health, and grounding with bare feet on the Earth frequently, which discharges electrical buildup in the system and facilitates a beneficial electron exchange. Getting fresh air and moderate to intense exercise regularly can be very helpful, as is hydrotherapy - going from hot to cold, for flushing the lymphatic system and promoting good circulation. Here are some links to interviews Irene has done with various teachers in these fields, as well as some other resources she recommends: irenelyon.com/2022/08/07/understanding-sunlight-for-health-and-healing-with-carrie-bennett/ irenelyon.com/2022/04/04/harnessing-the-sun-for-health-and-healing-with-sarah-kleiner/ irenelyon.com/2021/10/24/healthy-guts-hormones-sleep-a-lot-more-with-kitty-martone/ irenelyon.com/2021/12/19/hydrotherapy-terrain-theory-naturopathic-musings/ irenelyon.com/2021/08/22/my-health-regimen-20-years-in-the-making/

That is so weird that you mention past life in ref to skin eruptions!!! I had a family drama going involving some paintings we inherited and I drove across the country alone to reclaim my share of them, and I took photos of my arm & wrist because the rash was so bad it looked like a burn. And on the way I also retraced a life in 18th century France at the Foundry at Versailles also involving art and family, where I remembered actually losing my hand in the foundry when I was a sculptor. Incidentally I have always had tons of past life recall, and that one is one that I verified, again thru art, which I recognized at a museum, even tho it wasn't labelled. (it was reproduced on the patio at the old De Young in SF.)

Beautiful work, Irene! I am at minute 33, at our biological impulses and how we were raised from early on to apologize for our biology. I so relate to this! I have had the great fortune to begin my working through this societal program at a live event 5 years ago. I actually asked for help from another woman there to help me with this. It took an entire day just to realize how many times I was saying sorry (for gases, caughs, sneezes, yawns, elementary scratching on the face). I was that rooted in shame for my physiology. Life with CPTSD, Jen here from Team Lyon. Often when we have a strong reaction in the present, it reflects both what's happening now and also our response to something this reminds us of from the past and so reactions can often be magnified when trauma is in the picture. For this reason, and the one you mentioned (!), and also because it can sometimes feel safer to say something when we are alone in our own space (or with someone with whom we feel safe), it's often advisable to say something out loud but not to the person. It is possible to imagine saying it to the person. You might given this a try and see what happens.

Hi gonnabapro, Jen here from Team Lyon. Often people are able to heal IBS through nervous system and trauma healing, and the sometimes the healing path requires, or is faster, when there is a team approach. For example, this might look like doing this work alongside working with a holistic health practitioner and/or a physician.

I wonder about something, related to your explanation when the fight/flight wants to manifest but we learned to suppress it with freeze response, and so we don't express it because of social conditioning, not knowing what to do, fear, etc. I got to a point in my healing where the fight/flight is more and more obvious to me, even under the freeze. For example I notice that some noise is bothering me and I would normally go directly into freeze/ sadness response, but gradually I'm noticing the anger below that and if I can, I sit with it and let myself slowly feel it. The issue for me is often to address directly the source of the anger. Like knocking on my neighbour's door and telling him that the noise he is making is bothering me. Also, sometimes it feels like it's not appropriate. Can I still heal? I mean, I feel I am on the right path. Feeling the anger and allowing it to surface while containing it. Is that enough? Thank you!

Hi Andrea, Seth here from Team Lyon. Great questions! Setting healthy boundaries and expressing ourselves when something is not ok is important. AND. Sometimes it can also cause more problems depending on the situation, and it's more important to work internally - or sometimes it's important to do both these things! For example if the noisy neighbor is someone you know is relatively reasonable, or if you haven't met them and don't know, expressing your experience and aksing them to change something may be well worth it. AND, it will likely be important to do some work with allowing that anger to be expressed first, so that the interaction is less charged. If that neighbour is someone you know to be mean, belligerent, hostile, etc.. then confronting them may just cause more problems, and it might be more important to just work with the anger, and/or get the authorities involved if the noise is violating a bylaw, and/or move somewhere else so your environment is safer. Either way, it's almost always important to work with the energy of the anger (fight/flight) directly if we have a trauma history, because it's likely that very often the charge is more about the past than the current situation. Here's an article of mine about working with anger, and a playlist that someone put together of all of Irene's videos on anger Article: sethlyon.com/healthy-aggression-the-way-to-un-frustrate-frustration/ Playlist: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rn_Veplqp8dnirs

We have some weird impulses also... Like hitting someone or shouting at public situation.. Ita not possible to follow these impulses... What to do then I have lot to ask in this matter but don't where I can get the answers
@IreneLyon
@IreneLyon Жыл бұрын
@sumithatri3530, Jen here from Irene's Team. As you mentioned, there are many examples of where it may be challenging to act on a biological impulse in real time. When this is the case, you have a few options. One is to imagine that you are expressing the impulse. To use the situation you gave, if you feel anger (what we call healthy aggression) in a public situation, you might imagine that you could yell at the person, or push them away, or otherwise express the impulse. You can also find a way to move that does feel doable given the circumstances. For example, in this case it might look like pressing your feet into the ground and then releasing, or slowly making a fist and allowing it to unfurl. Later, when you are in a place where you do have space to express the impulse, you can call to mind the situation in your imagination and take the opportunity to shout or move or otherwise follow the impulse. You also asked about where you can get questions answered. We do answer some questions here time to time, and you can also search Irene's content as she has many resources. And the best place to get questions answered is to consider joining Irene's 21 Day Nervous System Tune Up course. It's a self-study course that you can do anytime. It includes nervous system education and practices and you also have the opportunity to ask questions about what you're learning and have them answered by experienced nervous system practitioners. now the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is found: radiation of microwaveoven.(magnetron) To stop you have to eliminate the oven out of the house. The plug out of electricity net because the oven has also radiation when it is not in use.And out of the house because the oven has a high voltage capacitor. The distance between an oven and a person is very important.After a 2 weeks without microwaves health becomes better.
