Although i agree with most of what you said. Ramming a car at 180mph is like sending a tank shell the size of a motorcycle through it. There's videos of bikes flipping cars off the road. Depending on the type of car and how many people are seated in it, its usually very deadly for both parties. (For the speeds gixxer is going at least) I speed all the time but im aware of the risks im taking and the risks i put others in, for that reason i try to not speed around other traffic.

Colorado Springs rider here. A perspective on content creation aside, here's what I hear from our local motorcops: The primary concern is that locally, we've seen a huge spike in squidding resulting in fatalities, and our county (El Paso) where that video began has the highest number in the state. What they are concerned about is that there is always going to be somebody that is going to try and emulate him and die. It's the end of February, and for the past 2 months, every time we get a day in the 50 degree range, there's another rider death on the local news and every news story it's reported that "speed was a factor" on that stretch of highway. In the warm months, it's worse. What the focus is on locally is not to come down on content creators, that's not the point of the extradition and prosecution, it's about showing that there are real world consequences to rider choices and actions. The guy is out on bond now, and with the charges of reckless endangerment, the local DA is contemplating actual jail time. So, you nailed it: do what you're going to do, but remember, there are consequences. I have to also be honest, in my 50+ years of riding, for very short stretches on that very same highway, I've done the same, but survived. Today, in my 60s (cue Boomer jokes), I value what remaining years I have left since I survived my own youthful stupidity. Others may not be as fortunate. Ride safe, ride smart, but most of all, ride like you DO have a tomorrow.

Outstanding commentary Adobo Moto! Very concise, articulate and to the point! As for your opinion about high speed videos made on public roads, I do not condone any kind of video that has the potential to put innocent lives at risk! In the “real world” a person has to determine if the risk is worth the reward and in the case of Gixxer Brah, he did not take the lives of innocent men, women and children into careful consideration before he went for his “ride” on a highway traveling in excess of 170mph! I too like high speed riders, but I limit it to MotoGp, The Isle Of Man TT races etc! In the I.O.M TT races for example, people (spectators) are in harms way, but they “choose” to do so. Can you imagine what would happen if a mother with her small children were driving along in a minivan and got hit by a bike traveling at 170+ mph?!? So, do you consider very high speed videos on public roads acceptable, and good click bait?!? I get the impre$$ion that you’re putting revenue before human lives! I hope that I am wrong. 🤔 ✌🏾

Of course, Gixxer Brah can do whatever he wants, but again, in my opinion, speeding in a highway full of cars on a piss missile at 150+ mph is not only dangerous to him, but to the car he could have crashed on. Mass of a motorcycle may not be much but the velocity sure makes up for it momentum wise. It was just reckless in my eyes.

I wholeheartedly agree that old-school Moto Vlogging is dead. There are too many good creators too many eyeballs for such a basic level of video creation. I do, however also think that motorcycle content has not found its way through this competition. I see the content that you put out and your style.and from my seat, it appears this is the direction that the content needs to go. I understand your personal Vlog. But eliminating that is a solid example of what I think will work moving forward. A mix of writing and talking not talking while riding. Curious to see your thoughts on this.

I actually renewed alot of respect for your craft after this video. I felt like every short or video that would pop up from your channel would be content admonishing the moto community for wanting hoonigan content and it was annoying because, everyone wants to see different kinds of content. Not everyone wants to see vanilla how to, bike reviews, jay leno type videos. But again not everyone is posting or creating for the same reasons. If your trying to attract brands to make money for ads, your automatically going to stay away from posting risky content that could be perceived as dangerous. At the end of the day though, people WANT to consume "dangerous" motorcycle content and it will never change, no matter how many people these platforms ban. People will find a way.

I’d like to see him grow his content into something more than what is currently being posted. I also don’t want to see him get in trouble for that stupid video. My man Adobo has it goin on. I'm in the Portland area and would love to go to one of his meet-ups. Anyways... didn't all this kinda start with Ghost Rider in Europe? On a K5 Gixxer thou? Dudes are gonna copycat, it's in the squids' nature. That's cool. It's really (IMHO) a victimless crime. It's a "pay-to-play" kinda deal, IMHO. All this is really doing is givin Brah free publicity. That's cool, too, but if all it takes is one guy to fuck up a freeway, then all it takes is one guy's hubris to fuck it up for a whole group of people who ride smart and responsibly. I ride an "old man's" bike, and a K6 Gixxer thou, so I don't judge or preach, just be cool out there, y'all, people are watching. He's not the first one to do it, but he's the first to get caught and as high profile as he seems to be, they're just gonna try to make an example out of his situation. I'm sure he'll play it off with bravado, but whatever works for him, I guess.
