Mariners Basin (M-3) is a good anchorage, but two others that are overlooked is Santa Barbra Cove (M-2) behind Bahia and Montezuma Bay (M-1). We have a 2001 2655 Bayliner that we overnight in Mission Bay A LOT with our three kids. We were overnight again this weekend. Our cruising speed is 23 kts, so it’s interesting to see it take a few hours. But, interested in a trawler for stability & living space.

Thanks for the Mission Bay info… will definitely consider for next time! Our first boat was a 1983 Bayliner 3270 and we loved it! But it’s hard to beat the stability and living space of our trawler. How fun that you’re living the boat life with your kids.😀
