Ok, so hands down - these dudes have the best customer service in the world. I know $100 seems like a lot (and I know I prob seem like a paid comment or something - I'm definitely not), but man the pens are awesome and these dudes are awesome. If someone's on the fence - I'm telling you, totally worth it.

I got lucky and bought this exact pen for $75, it was an “open box” but like new with all parts included. Love it but wish it had a grippier grip section. Major improvement over the Grafton, which requires a little adapter for certain smaller refills and can have tip wiggle.

The friction is the nib passing the self-adjusting collet. It is a trade off against no tip wiggle.

you can adjust how far the tip of the pen sticks out if you twist the click button left or right

been wanting to try a pen from these guys for a while but like you said, I've always been turned off by the bulky appearance. This looks much nicer, but I can't not think of the Grafton Everyman pen when I see the blasted finish BI has done here. It looks so vanilla., and again reminds me of the Everyman, which I'm not too embarrassed to admit that I bought.

I've had the Grafton in black and gunmetal for several years. I like them and carey one or the other every day.

@jrosa94rn The Grafton is a functional pen, and I suppose that's really all it needs to be. I still use mine for work, but every time a use it I ask myself why it isn't a $10 pen instead of $40.

Silent click is an absolute dealbreaker. so close to being the perfect pen..

This pens design is great but How do you make a click pen that is silent? That’s the one thing everyone likes about click pens. Also I think you got the length wrong. On their site is shows 4.9in not 5.5

Big Idea Designs seems to "borrow" a lot from Tactile Turn, even if this pen isn't the best example of such.

What unique features does Tactile Turn offer? As far as I can see, they only have 3 pens for sale with no unique features at all.

​@@UGA.D BID started making pens in 2011, before TacTile Turn even started, and The Solid Titanium Pen + Stylus was the 2nd ever titanium pen that was launched on Kickstarter, which was launched in 2012. It was the 2nd titanium pen ever been launched on Kickstarter, Tactile turn did NOT come first in making a pen in titanium. In terms of design engineering capability, BID has over 20 patents relating to product designs and features, including telescope pen body design, pen collect to minimize tip wiggle, dual side click mechanism, internally adapting mechanism and so on. If these are not unique features, I don't know what is. Yeah BID may have some same material choices as Tactile Turns, but TT certainly didn't invent the idea for making pens out of different metals. It's like you say I made my desk out of wood, anyone that makes a desk out of wood after me is copying.

@@joehuang8035 Deep breaths, fanboy. I own the very pens you mention as I own pens (and other products) from both companies and have followed both companies from their inceptions. BID followed TT in both their click and bolt action pens. They also followed their use of and manipulation of materials, consistently. End of story.
