I just got the slim and it's really comfortable to write with. The regular bolt action just felt too thick. If they ever want to simplify their product line they could probably just standardize on a diameter in-between the two and it would be fine.

I have both. I recommend getting both. You won’t be sorry. I do prefer the slim tactile turn pen over the regular girth. That is a matter of personal preference.

8/28/24: The slim bolt pen is the best quality and design pen I own, and I have many comparable pens to judge. The only criticism to offer is that the clip is custom designed to destroy shirt pockets and pants pocket edges. It’s incomprehensible that such an exquisite USA designed and manufactured quality pen has a major pocket clip deficiency

I still love my slim bolt, but cannot use the clip because of the damage it does to cloth shirts and pants. WTH?

Great video man! I just bought the copper slim bolt action and I honestly don’t like the bolt action. Thinking about going to the side click but not sure if the thickness is too much. What would you compare the side click thickness to when holding it - sharpie? Maybe I just need to get used to the bolt action?

Apologies if you said in the video, but is this the standard length or short? I like the length of my current bolt action pen (short length) but would prefer the slimmer profile. My worry is getting both slim and short it would feel insubstantial.

does the clip end up getting in the way while writing with it being quite shallow carry? I have the original bolt action short in Ti and it feels quite thick too me, too much to comfortably write with, so I'm looking at this as they have it on Urbanedcsupply right now.

I bought a pen from Tactile Turn about 6 months ago. Was very happy with the pen but was disappointed and annoyed with their cheap packaging. It came in a cheap small,damaged cardboard box. Your packaging is better than mine! Have they upgraded their packaging? I would like to get some for Christmas and definetly want a nice quality gift box. Thanks

@@thadius357 No I am not. It was a gift for a friend. First impression, cheap. I spent a lot of money for that pen which when you include the exchange rate it's not cheap. Go buy your friend BIC pen.

Do you prefer the standard thick version or slim? I just got the slim standard length and like it but I want one for parker refill and the short size is the one I need. I'm not sure whether the standard might be ok since I feel like the slim I have is very slim. It's slimmer than my Bastion slim bolt action pen for sure and I feel like that's perfect.

Yeah, standard refills, nonproprietary, so refill preference is up to the individual vs. something intrinsic to the pen itself

If you are looking for a deep pocket carry you can take a look at the original Bolt Action from TT, it has a deep carry pocket clip. I have the original in both copper and titanium standard lengths.
