It's a great review without an ounce of chauvinism, which is rare enough to get noticed. With a bit more euros in my pocket I'd have "a hard time" choosing between a Pogo 30 or 10.5 and this modern beauty. Happily Corona craze released us from struggling with that type of dilemmas 😉 Nice review!

A de nombreuses reprises je trouve vos commentaires sur des sites que je visite, apparemment on aime les voiliers et les voiliers performants en particulier. Je serais curieux d'échanger qqs avis avec vous. En espérant vous lire ;)

@@Chien_Saucisse Lol Je donne bien trop d'avis surtout.

How about Dehler 30 od ?

@@istra70The Dehler 30 was in Düsseldorf last year. It was love at first sight, but I'm not rich enough for the lady. She's a fabulous boat. Even the new Sun fast 30 doesn't match up.

question - I love this design boat but I want a fast boat to go long distances. Can I do this boat is 45', 2 on board, and turn it into a fast cruiser? I personally hate going slow and I hate not being busy. Looking for a solution.

The spinnaker reach looks as exciting as that reach in a Thistle - but more stable and way easier.

Yesterday I was sailing my Bavaria 33 in a force 5, gusting 6, on a broad reach at 8+ knots when "Leyton" came past like I was standing still. Must have been doing over 12 knots & made it look easy. My wife likes the comfort of the Bavaria but convincing her to go sailing at all is becoming more difficult every year. I gave up racing when I bought the Bavaria as it's a cruiser. I think Jeanneau are onto a winner with their new boat. It's an awesome package. How much is it by the way ??

Would this boat be a bit frisky for anyone other than an offshore racer?
@cawfeedawg Жыл бұрын
a bit frisky? well I prefer performance sailboats offshore because they keep me engaged with the boat. Most cruisers put me to sleep out there and for me that's just too dangerous.

Surprised you didn't mention the main development that enables short handed sailing is the asymmetric spinnaker. The traditional harum-scarum comes week gybes are an organisational marvel.

Modern short handing generally doesn't- all powered systems. I think.

A keel line stem to stern academic keeling design reduces heeling over and increases speed of the sailboat. Add the blade keel lwr least wind resistance to the aerodynamic hull. He who keels the sails ahead of the sail effort wins the races.

they thought about pretty much everything, well except a built in preventor for outside gybes, but like most of us, an old broken baton will do.

Fully keeled headsails and mast is certainly a faster sailboat design. The true classic design is stem to stern academic keeling design.

Blade keel the headsails and mast while keeping the planing Hull might be the top speed sailboat. 3 to one headsails to mast. 300 Genoa. Single handed blast.
