I hope Rob has a warehouse full of guitars so you can keep this up!

Those picks are no joke, if you're not playing cleanly they will rat your ass out in an instant. Thanks for your work on the vids!

I have a black USA So-Cal identical to this. Tuned to E standard with a D-tuna to drop down to D. It came with DiMarzios. Later on the So-Cals came with Duncan Distortions. I also have the Tele version (USA San Dimas) tuned to D standard. Both are amazing guitars.

The other Charvels (San Dimas) when the came out in 2009 was a JB and a 59 in the neck.

I had a Charvel Model 5 it was just amazing back in the late 80's early 90's very heavy body but I said to hell with it I put some Duncan Invaders in that thing and it made a tremendous difference...

That's a great guitar. I have my Charvel and Jackson in the same tuning. Minus the F sharp. Not sure bout the perfect fourth interval. Works for Rob though!

Saw Rob after one of their recent shows. Did he tell you that I told him I'm a fan of your videos and he almost forgot about this guitar?

That is gorgeous. I would pay top dollar.

Is this maybe the one of the backcover of Malevolent Creation's 2nd album? - Oh, nope. That one has probably a rosewood fingerboard and a lot of stickers, just had a brief look on my copy. I like these "clean" Powerstrats, though.
@gavin6666 Жыл бұрын
the one on the back of the second Malevolent album is a kramer (i think), he recorded the album with a Les Paul though.

Did he plays this back in the malevolent creation days or the old way back cannibal days
@mrcryptic6663 жыл бұрын
i think both
@GranvilleGuitars3 жыл бұрын
@@mrcryptic666 No. It's not that old. It gets used for lead parts. Rob and Erik both used it on V.U.
@GeneralShermanDidNothingWrong3 жыл бұрын
this is a pretty new guitar, way too new for malevolent creation or his first run in cannibal.

In '92 Rob used a Early '80s Kramer Focus 3000 (i think) with Malevolent (and Solstice too), idk if it was used in the studio or not since Rob used his '89 Les Paul Standard on Retribution. When he joined Cannibal Corpse for the first time he used a black Charvel guitar live and on The Bleeding (i don't remember what exact model but it's the one in the Ace Ventura movie). On the Vile album he used the Les Paul Standard again (not sure if it's on the whole thing, that album has some songs in C# Standard and some in A#.) When he re-joined Malevolent he mainly used his 2 Les Paul's and sometimes his Charvel (there's a picture of him with it in "The Will To Kill"). Those 2 Les Paul's were also used with HatePlow, the gray one was used on the songs they had that were tuned to B Standard.

Wound third string? Damn !
@nckhed3 жыл бұрын
Never cared for a wound G. They don't bend as well as an unwound G, at least for myself.
@jack_12663 жыл бұрын
Welp mate you need it when the tuning is that low
@GeneralShermanDidNothingWrong3 жыл бұрын
unwound 3rds sound like absolute ass tuned that low. you lose some bending ability for much better tone.
