Please Subscribe Stan decides he can make more money if he heads North and gets work in a car factory but rather than hand in his resignation, he gets Blakey to sack him so that he can get a week's wages. Blakey considers to take Stan's room as the new lodger.

To be honest all TV throughout history is behavioral based,, it's programming to get the public to act and behave to what they see on the box/Internet etc. but at least with old shows like this it was witty and actually funny albeit it was just another form of predictive programming.

So funny when I was a kid in the 70s but cringeworthy now as how they treated the female conductors or ‘clippies’ as they were called as well as the racial remarks too. A lot of comedies in the 70s such as ‘Mind your Language’ and ‘Love thy Neighbour’ had the same sort of ‘Carry on’ film old naughty postcard humour. Olive or Anna Karen died in a house fire caused by falling asleep with a lit cigarette in 2022.☹️ Jack or Bob Grant committed suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning.

I didnt realise Bob Grant killed himself! I know in the 80's he suffered from depression and tried to kill himself then.. He lived in leicestershire (i live in this county) it seems to draw bad luck to TV stars.. Barry Evans (mind your language) died in his house in leicestershire (cause unkown but suspected suicide)..
