@@andyadventures2841 sorry for the delay, I was tired and busy, wow, your like me watching the old comedies from the 70’s and 80’s and your born same decade as me, I watched Benny Hill, the same time as top of the pops late ‘1984, “ allo, “ allo, “ only fools and horses” and more comedies back in the 80’s a lot, at least we got something in common, we both born same decade, grew up quickly watching these comedies than some other people in our generation grew up watching these late in the 90’s.

I’ve never been able to fathom - in this café, when you enter the door, the counter is on the left. In the studio sets Ivy is seen using a door onto the kitchen behind this counter, but in exterior shots on location, it doesn’t appear to have the requisite space for that behind the building? Not saying it’s a ‘continuity error’ or anything but it’s interesting to consider (at least, I assume that most café interior scenes were filmed on a soundstage? I could be entirely wrong, of course, and by _Return of the Warrior_ the café set had become extremely convincing) . . . Edit - I see - there _is_ indeed the space for a small kitchen alcove! Thank you for providing the video to clear that up! In the series I always had the impression that Ivy’s kitchen was larger than that! I just figured that they didn’t really care too much about complete visual consistency in the earlier days 😅

It was rather busy on that day inside so I tried not to point the camera too much at the folk enjoying a pot of 🫖 & a scone 😆

@@andyadventures2841 Enjoying a pot of tea and a scone but being watched by that small white camera in the corner. You can't escape those damn things even in a quiet village like that. The people who insist in those things are mental and brainwashed.

I remember once visiting Holmfirth and my dad wanting to use the public toilets and finding to his disgust that they were charging people to use it, this was in the midn 90s when the council were beginning to charge people to use public toilets. When my dad came out he told the old lady at the paypoint "20p for a piss?" much to her shock lol. Good on him. I'm guessing they still have em there.

Why do they need to have a bloody CCTV camera in that cafe and at the exhibition centre for? this need for cameras is getting really ridiculous. Where has the privacy gone? is there some kind of crime rate in Holmfirth that the owner insists they need to have a camera on the corner? answer no, and if there is there then they are useless anyway because they don't do anything. Everywhere you go those damn things are there somewhere, none bats an eye to them and they should. Alot of those large dome cameras will have facial recognition technology, which scans your face and stores your information, the ones in the supermarkets do that. Welcome to China UK.
