I'm a cradle catholic and was taught that our church is the one that was founded by Jesus on Peter. I never had all the questions you both had to go through. I can feel the struggle you had in your voice, all the emotions, doubts, uncertainty that you must have been in during those times. I thank God that he is using you to reach others going through the same struggles. If you save just one soul, it is all worth it, but I know that as long as these videos are viewed, many more will be saved. God bless you both!

Powerful content, I’ve asked myself the same questions, I think once the authority question sinks in, there isn’t anything that can shake you. I’ve looked for the most powerful objections and I just can’t find anyone that is as powerful as the Catholic claim. From its Jewish roots, to the kingdom language and the historical evidence I can’t find a reason to doubt the Catholic claim to authority. Continuity and organic development is as old as the Old Testament, from the time of Moses to the age of the kings there was organic development, it’s not a new idea. What’s more impressive is how God can impact events while not violating free will. He can illuminate and darken judgment and thought without violating free will. Let that sink in. God bless.

I understand it seems off to claim that the Church immediately drifted into deep heresy. But one should also refute the historical Protestant claim that having a monarchical episcopate was not a mistake. It was just the most natural way for the Church to stay united after the death of the Apostles. Maybe there is no single way to construct your ecclesiology, but the NT leaves the exact way we flesh out our ecclesiology open.
