“When the pace is too fast, and I think I won’t last.”😅 There’s more than one way to skin a cat. If you close your eyes, you can almost imagine those are 16th notes instead of 8th notes on the high hat lol. 02:55 WTF kind of fill was that????

Howdy Diana, Now that's one I haven't heard in a while. A song like this really brings back memories of those early 80's bands like Saga and The Fixx. Your playing is wonderful as always D. You look great as always and I really do like what you've done with the room, the lights and tree, so beautiful. Baby-That-A-Girl dancing on the shelf, so adorable! She has the energy and is always in the groove. Thank you for the music and the memories Diana.....Love, Steve. P.S. I will give this one a listen with the headphones a little bit later on tonight.

I think that’s what you call a one hit wonder? I always loved 🥰 that song. I remember being at Belmont College in Nashville and watching a cover band. They played this song and I was so amazed at the drummer and how he played it.

I saw these guys live way back in the day. The drummer, Steve Negus, had one of those Ludwig slotted Coliseum snare drums. I've never seen anyone else use one. Interesting choice for a cover!

This is really good playing. Notice the snare head and how small the print that's gone on the coating of the snare. That's a very tight imprint, a sign that the person playing is very precise. Very very nice.

Thanks friend! I wimped out on the 16th notes on the high hat and some of the notes on the Bass drum .Hopefully I captured the feel of it . I may do a second version of this song once I master those two things.

Nice! Cool 80s song! I just played this live a few months ago with a cover band. Keeping the double handed hihat going for the whole song is tiring! 😂 I see you found a a workaround for that.

Actually, I think that was the 16th notes disco RLRL on the high hat…
