That little test shaped casting mark is a spruce mark where the mold wasn't quite properly used

the piece you thought was a bike peddle looks also like one of those spring return hinges, old timey. one. took second look at it. 99 % sure its a spring loaded screen door hinge. spring is inside the center cylinder. plus i can see the screw holes on each side " wing ".

That, "bicycle pedal" , looked more to me like a hinge for automatically closing a door. They are spring loaded so the door closes by itself. I could be wrong tho as I didn't stop and look at it closely. Great video, good to see you back in your natural environment, holding your breath.

Typically when you got shot with those they went to amputation of the limbs. The bullet would do so much damage to bone and flesh that infection would be guaranteed, especially with the lack of medical technology back then. We do have a silver lining to this cloud however, as some medical advances came out of that terrible war because of these bullets.

Hey Chig. Do you check the plants on either side of the creek and how far up the bank can you check? It looks like soldiers got caught wading that creek and were fired upon from above?? If the soldiers were on the same level I would expect all the shots to be in the bank.
