Another great example of how you and I can dispel the myth that a RR is needed in order to tune a car well. I've lost count of the number of cars I've tuned only a few weeks after they've been RR tuned, and within just a few minutes I can point out clearly why x,y & z should have been resolved before the car even touched the rollers....never mind before the RR operative thrashed the living daylights out of the engine without doing certain fundamental checks prior. Another great video AC.....good to see that you're now looking at twin carbs whilst on the road too.

It’s not that I don’t do them, it’s more of they are too worn to get them how I want. Therefore I only do the work, if the carbs are known to be in good serviceable condition, and the full power fueling is already known

The car is driving so much better Adrian and thoroughly enjoying it. Planning on fitting a fuel pressure regulator and changing the float chamber needles over winter so will book you back in next year.

⁠@@ACDoddcurrently running a facet red top pump and I’ve read the 4 to 4.5 psi is too much for an su. Planning on a malpassi regulator and reduce pressure to 2.5. Would that make sense in your opinion?

@@speedymadr6 yes regulate down to 2.5 is ideal

Was always under the impression that oil was an insulator but after you mentioning about tracking on the dizzy cap I realised that they add zinc and I'm assuming other metals to engine oil. Never considered that before

It also attracts dirt and debris which will conduct further

a 3 ohm coil, would that be the same for a low compression engine, I gave you a picture of my electronic ignition you said it was a low compression unit. I'm only saying this as i get a flat spot and a hesitation when running

That’s due to the carburettor needle and oil selection.
