I've had loads of Kropps had a near 8/8ths one but never really took a fancy to them and sold them on to a chap in Italy, he had a whole crop of Kropps going on. As soon as this one came in, in a job lot I knew we might be a match. Its got a super thick shank area even bigger than the biggest Kropps I've had, fits my hand just great. Thank you for sharing. It is nice to see your stone working out for you. Having the microscope to show the edge is supper nice. I hope you have a good one and take care. Ta

Hello Chap, It definitely helps along the way, speeds me up but can be inaccurate in terms of perception sometimes. The angle is important, like everything it's got a learning curve. Yeah fingers crossed it seems ok not damaging the edge so to me razor safe but got a lot to learn, throwing many a curve ball at me..

Hope you're having a great day my friend! I agree that just because a stone is soft doesn't mean they are bad finishers It has everything to do with the abrasive particles on the stone and not with the binder that holds them together Great honing seccion
