What u said, totally. Was fun, but there are so many cool options out of the box now. And, they cost as much if not less than building one. And, I don't have the time to build like I used to. Also, I get a bit of delivery anxiety waiting for various parts from overseas.. which I can do without.

Loving those watches. Might pick up the slim turtle in gilt this year. Then no more seikos… but they are just too much fun. I think I could leave with just my 143 it’s just a great watch.

I’ve drifted away from modding in the last year, but I was fairly deep into it for a long time. The mod part suppliers have seriously upped their game over the years. But I agree with you that for a little more money Seiko has a version of your dream build. Also if you don’t have any experience modding and want an upgraded SKX/SRP style watch, check out Long Island Watch. He has you covered at a great price
