Removing dairy and meat and eggs, processed foods and sugars, significantly assists the brain in operating at a healthier level. I'm not sure how loving and caring about animals and wanting to eat healthy and live healthy, is in any way related to mental health issues. My comment was regarding compassion and empathy... which is the exact opposite of having mental health issues. Individuals who lack empathy and compassion is leaning more towards a mental health term called "Narcissism." Choosing a non violent lifestyle is healthy. Oxford university has an unbiased study as well if you would like to read about it.

A diet is temporary, something you're on and off all the time, and why so many people fail at it. Whenever I speak with people about veganism and they say that they'd find it hard to cut out particular things, usually cheese, I always ask them questions like have they seen the conditions that cows are kept in so that people can have all dairy products. A lot of them so far are open to watching videos, fair play to them, so I show them just one about dairy that I downloaded to my phone and everyone I've shown so far with the exception of my docile Dad has cut out dairy. All the ingredients in the wraps are suitable for vegans, McDonald's has marked the items as vegetarian because the tortillas pass through the same toaster as the buns that contain milk - and therefore there's a minor risk of cross-contamination!
